I had never heard of this guy until I caught his "Live at Albert Hall" performance on Palladia recently. This guy is an animal on guitar! I really like his style, which is blues based with a little jazz fusion and a little "shred" here and there. I feel like this is the first guy to really take up the mantle from where Stevie Ray Vaughn left it.

I have yet to check out his solo stuff but I love the first studio l.p. of and by Black County Communion.

Yea, i love that concert. Only albums I own are dust bowl and driving towards the daylight though. You and me is my favorite.

I love Joe's playing, but DAMN, he has so much merchandise out there, it's just ridiculous. I mean, who really wants or needs a JB bobble-head?

Just as I was starting to get interested in his stuff, I looked at his website....and, folks, he gives KISS a run for their money as far as licensing garbage with his name on it.

As a musician that has had highs and lows in a 35-year(plus) career, his extreme merchandising sorta offends me.

Love his music.....hate the excess crap.

Meh it doesn't really bother me when artists try to make money from merch. It's their right to make a buck any way they can. No one forces us to buy it. They're certainly not making it from music sales anymore. It's all touring and merchandise so I can understand why artists are trying to find other avenues to make money.
