44 frames of video footage was removed at the request of the director...while 4 lines of dialogues was muted. It was mostly the mention of "Allah" and Islamic names of people.

Director now maintains that this version is his final cut of the film.

While this may be the case, I still think he was a little scared of "certain" pressure groups.

Sadly, I (nor API) cannot go against the director wishes.

I can tell you that upcoming Telugu and Tamil DVD versions, that are to be released by other companies, will actually feature more voluntary cuts.

Personally - and this is my opinion only - the pressure groups / politicians / high courts who are causing the recent scandals in the Tamil film industry seem ignorant on the ways of modern living and globalization! Yes - they can air their concerns but banning a film is not a democratic solution. It goes against what India stands for and shows them as a bunch of cun*s
