The comedy is definitely what made it appealing to me. Yeah, the singing to the old tv ads were hilarious. There's also the 3 seashells, the propriety/quirkiness in everyone's behavior in the future, Taco Bell winning the franchise wars so all restaurants are Taco Bell, the Schwarzenegger Presidential library... a lot of good stuff to chuckle over.

Dan Cortez on the piano alone is worth the price of admission.

Dare we forget Denis Leary?

Ok everyone, Enhance your calm!!

Demolition Man is a guilty pleasure of mine. Hopefully it'll be on Blu someday.

BTW, anyone know how to use the seashells?

Definitive first day release buy, but with our luck :

- It will be issued without lossless audio, thus still being behind the incredible sound it had on laserdisc

- The PQ will be EDGE ENHANCED to death, so much that everyone will run around with a distinct angelic halo around them.

- The source used for the transfert will be the same master they made in 1996.

- No cut scenes will ever show up, and they had many !

- The audio commentary will not be subtitled for those who are either foreign, or hearing impaired.

Yeah, it is one of those films that was never done justice on DVD. Along a lot of others. Hard Target, The Abyss are two high on my list.

We need the Directors Cut of Hard Target. That's nearly impossible to get on DVD even.

Yeah, with Hard Target you basically had the choice of either the cut anamorphic NTSC release, or the uncut non-anamorphic PAL release. I went with the PAL release. But I'd but it on Blu in a heartbeat.

Yeah, I could never get ahold of the Pal version for a decent price and I heard it was a horrendous encode too. well, here's hoping for a blu release of the DC

I don't agree with you about Judge Dredd, but Demolition Man, Cliffhanger, and Assassins are first day buys for me if and when they make it onto Blu. Those are some of Stallone's better movies from the 90's.

I hate to admit I'm the only person out of everyone I know that liked this one. And from the looks of things, you and I are the only ones on the planet
