India/Bollywood Need help from everyone on this forum to source Ayan and Sivaji original blu rays.

Hi,

My post title says it all. Need to source original Ayan and Sivaji Tamil blu rays to add to my collection. Have been hunting for them from past 2 months. No luck so far. Tried Amazon, Bollywoodbluray.co.uk, njmtv.com (no stock), bollyman.com (ran away with my money: paypal refunded 15 days later). So had my fare share of (mis) adventures.

Now seeking help in an all out manner. Hope someone from this wonderful forum would be able to help me out. I don't mind buying a used piece in pristine condition as well given the rarity.

Seriously sad condition of Indian blu ray market. Lesson learnt: if you want to buy an Indian blu ray movie - buy it now. There is no guarantee that it would be available anywhere months later.

I'm also on the look-out for Ayan on blu-ray.

I did manage to order the Sivaji blu-ray last april from an Amazon seller for 40 USD.

I just checked Amazon.com again and there are 4 sellers offering Sivaji blu-ray. There's one used copy (45 USD) and there are three new copies - (the cheapest of these costs 74 USD)

74 usd!!!

Is there any way we can convince ayngaran to arrange these copies for us? Am sure there will be few more members amongst us wanting to buy Sivaji and Ayan.

sorry peoples - got someone to check up the stores and nothing available in Melbourne. All the Ayngaran stock going down quickly.

I am pissed i didnt pick up an extra copy of Ayan when i picked up Sivaji.

The guy reckons there are getting more in next week. i ended up telling him i am going to take it with a grain of salt.

i will keep a look out for you guys at other stores as well.

I've just ordered "Ayan" blu-ray from singingcinema.com for 29.99 EUR (=> 45,99 EUR including shipping & taxes)

Singingcinema.com is a french website. I've never ordered from them before.
In fact I only discovered their website in my search for "Ayan" blu-ray.

After I placed my order with them and after my credit card was debited I received an error message.

I discovered that my order was empty. When I checked the website again "Ayan" blu-ray was not available anymore.

Then I sent the site an e-mail inquiring about the status of my order and demanding cancellation and reimbursement if "Ayan" blu-ray was indeed out of stock.

Since I did not receive a quick reply, I phoned this site about 45 mins. later.
The guy answering the phone told me he had received my e-mail and was working on my order. He also told me "Ayan" blu-ray was in stock and will be shipped to me tomorrow. A short while later the status of my order on this website was back to normal.

I just checked their site again and both "Ayan" and "Sivaji" are listed as available for order.

I've just received my order of Ayan blu-ray from Singingcinema.com

I can confirm it's a 50 gb disc. (double layer)

On the back of the disc, near the spine the layers are identified as "AYNBRD 0006 L0" and "AYNBRD 0006 L1"

I used info from this old thread to be able to spot the difference between a 25 gb disc and a 50 gb disc.
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=34771

I've also briefly tested the disc in my player. The PQ looked real good. (The previous evening I watched Aadhavan blu-ray, so I had something fresh to compare with.)

Will I order again from Singingcinema.com?
Probably not, since their shipping rates are very steep. They charged me 16 EUR for shipping. I noticed that the postage charges for my order (express shipping) only amounted to 4,30 EUR.
For a rare title like Ayan blu-ray it was worth it though.

My order of "Ayan" blu-ray arrived fully sealed.

To change the text to english on this site select the american flag instead of the french flag at the top right of their site.

About shipping to UK => In french "United Kingdom" is "Royaume-Uni".
(When you change the little flag to the american flag you can select "United Kingdom" though.)
