Hartline is honestly probably there only choice.

Agree. Welker also has had massive spotlight worthy mistakes the past few years. They'll keep him if he's reasonable, but if someone throws money at him, I'd let him walk too.

Hate to break it to you but your mediocre QB who cant get you past the 2nd round is going to be commanding just as much in a year or 2. I don't consider someone who won the SB a Mediocre QB, especially since Flacco is one of if not the best post season QB in the league.

I want either Percy Harvin, Greg Jennings or Mike Wallace in Dallas to complement Dez Bryant as Romo's #2 speed threat but we can't afford it, even if we cut Austin to absorb some of his bloated contract.

Well it's difficult but mediocre QB's can win a SB. Trent Dilfer was worse than mediocre in 2000. I don't think Flacco is mediocre, but he's not elite either. What do you mean Flacco is the best postseason QB in the league? His postseason numbers for hia career were average at best prior to this year. Eli Manning has done what Flacco just did twice. Only Eli beat better competition to do it.

If you polled every NFL GM I bet nearly all would take Matt Ryan over Flacco. That comparison isn't even close.

Go look at Flaccos postseason numbers over the past 5 years he amazingly is rated number 1

LOL don't worry we can't afford any of them anyway, chances are Jones is going to try to get a WR by blowing one of our day 1 picks on one.

Romo and his partner blew a lead in a golf tournament over the weekend. Shocking, I know.

http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/gol...nish-third.ece

Quote:
Cowboys' Tony Romo, Dallas' Jordan Spieth lose lead in final day of Pebble Beach Pro-Am, finish third

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — Tony Romo was doing his post-round interviews Sunday at Pebble Beach Golf Links when Nick Faldo came bounding over from the television tower overlooking the 18th green.

Faldo put his hand across Romo’s neck and pushed his head up, apparently referencing a tip he had given the Cowboys quarterback.

“Did it work,” Faldo asked. “See? See?”

Romo answered, “Did you see 17? Take a peek.”

Faldo, rushing to get back to the tower before the end of a commercial break replied, “It was on TV live!”

At No. 17, a famed hole that has ruined as many potential champions as it has crowned, Romo sank a tricky 15-foot putt for a birdie.

Romo and partner Jordan Spieth didn’t quite do enough on Sunday to win the Pro-Am competition at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. They finished tied for third at 29 under, two shots behind the co-championship teams of Brandt Snedeker-Toby Wilt and Michael Letzig-John Erickson.

But the Dallas pair had plenty of big moments during the tournament and, Spieth, the 19-year-old former Jesuit standout, finished tied for 22nd overall at 8-under. His first paycheck as a professional golfer was worth $65,000.

Although their team score of 68 Sunday didn’t reflect it, Spieth and Romo both played well.

“It was just one of those days,” Spieth said. “We both hit good putts on a lot of holes, and we had probably eight lip-outs combined today. Sometimes that happens.”

Said Romo: “You’ve got to get it in the hole sometimes, and we just missed our opportunities. … You’ve got to make some putts to go low.”

Despite missing a 3-footer for birdie at 18 that cost him roughly $25,000, Spieth was happy about his performance in his second start on the PGA Tour as a pro.

“I played my best round today by far,” he said. “I hit 16 greens today, and hitting 16 greens out here is great ball-striking. So I was really happy with that. I also putted the best out of the whole week. The number of putts won’t tell you that, but no three-putts, and I had so many just lip out or die by the lip. I’ll take 2-under. It’s a good score.”

Spieth, who missed the cut in his pro debut two weeks ago at Torrey Pines, has no status on the PGA Tour and must rely on sponsor’s exemptions and Monday qualifiers to play in Tour events. His next scheduled start is Feb. 21 in the Panama Claro Championship on the Web.com Tour.

Romo was impressed with Spieth, whom he has known for three years.

“He’s really good, and he’s got a bright future, and he really doesn’t have a weakness,” Romo said. “He doesn’t struggle with anything specific.”

Romo continued to be one of the most popular amateurs in the field, besieged by autograph-seekers and posing for pictures on every hole. His booming drives attracted much of the attention, but his approaches and putting were almost as impressive, especially given that there’s not a whole lot of time to work on golf during the NFL season.

When a writer suggested that some are saying Romo could quit his day job and try the PGA Tour, he demurred with a laugh.

“I think they’re wrong,” he said. “I’m pretty good at what I do. I like to compete, and it gets our family out on a couple of vacations once in a while and it makes it an enjoyable experience.”

Yeah WR's have been known to have their talents wasted played with Romo over the years: TO, Crayton, Terry Glenn, Miles Austin, Laurent Robinson, Dez Bryant were horrible playing with Romo. Come on you can say a lot of bad things about Romo but not getting the best out of his WR's isn't one of them. He's elevated the play of some of the WR's he's played with and some of those have had their best years playing with Romo.

a lot of good it does when you only have 1 playoff win to show for it.

Yup while I don't think it's all Romo's fault or that he's the biggest problem in Dallas, 1 play-off win in 7 seasons as a starter is less than acceptable, wish those in charge felt the same way. Actually chances are they do but they know what I do, that there are no currently available upgrades so we have to weather at least 1 more season of the Romocoaster.

That's my point. Matt Ryan is significantly better than Flacco, so I'm scared to see what kind of contract he goes looking for. If Ryan had the D Flacco has worked with for 5 years, he'd have been in more than 1 Super Bowl.

I agree that Ryan is a better quarterback than Flacco, but Flacco's huge bargaining chip is that he has a ring and Super Bowl MVP hardware.
