I've heard this argument before, that money discriminates against the blind. But in today's world, use a debit / credit card, so every purchase is documented and fraud is investigated. Otherwise there are too many things already built that depend on money being a specific size. They'll never go through the expense of changing money as long as there's already a better alternative for blind people to use.
not all places accept debit/CC, and how does it help the blind? when I buy with CC or debit I get a piece of paper or a device that shows a # on it and I say OK. if that numer is 10$ or 100$ the blind can't tell the difference.

They really need to make our bills different sizes and use other features so blind people can identify them by touch
can the do that? we don't have sizes here i Canada, but I think there are pro's and con's

pro:
helps blind or when fiddling through your pocket

Con:
machines need to accept different sizes
small bills become too small and big ones too big
I think it makes it easier to lose some cash (i.e. a smaller bill stuck between two larger ones)

In consultation, it was decided our currency would use a placement and count of 2x3 full Braile cells to represent the value.

See here

One block = $5
Two consecutive = $10
Three consecutive = $20
Four consecutive = $50
Block (two blanks) Block = $100

Wow, new five dollar bills looks nice, though I think there is more value in two-ply.

Interesting new look, but only new 5 dollar bills? I think the 1 dollar could use a face lift.

Oddly enough, the redesign is to help with that. Just not in the aspect you're referencing.

The redesigns are to make counterfeiting alot more difficult [usually in the order of it not longer being 'cheaper' to print your own counterfeit funds than the currency is worth anyway].

To be honest, don't expect the Dollar to get changed soon, unless it's a change to drop the paper dollar entirely and go to the coin .

Eventually, they will redo the dollar bill. You have to remember it took forever for them to even change anything on our paper money. Now, they are doing it left and right, because the people didn't complain and like the changes. Also to try to keep ahead of the counterfeiters...

The worry with the dollar coin is that alot of people keep thinking there quarters...

People dont look at coins they just know the weight and size.

Susan B anthony and Sasqatch dollars had the greatest problems.

Its not sasquatch dollar... sasaquewei.. I dont I really dont know how
to spell her name Im terrible. for me.
