Game of Thrones Season 2 UV

So I got a code from someone for a preorder of GOTS2, redeemed it and you only get the first episode

I thought by preordering it you got the whole season...

Also will it be unlocked when it actually comes out or do I have to get another code out of the actual season package.

I'm not sure, I have my pre-order through amazon. But I thought the pre-release codes were for the entire season, that's the way it is for movies....

That's the preorder from Walmart. You only get first episode.

You also get the twenty minute inside the special effects feature. Just watched it and it was pretty great... Honestly, it was pretty average for a 20 minute long feature, but I enjoy the show enough that I actually watched the feature, and it reminded me of how much I like the show& the books.

Per the print ad from Walmart, if you pre-order, you get access to recaps and extras from S1 and S2 now ... and on Feb 19th, you get the full S2 in your Vudu account.

Why would they give you the full season now if it was a pre-order? Obviously if you were going to get the full season it would be after the show is released on BD...

Can someone confirm that Season2 when redeemed in iTunes downloads in HD?

I've had issues in the past with HBO titles redeeming in SD and you have to Chase itunes or HBO for new codes etc

I would like to know before I redeem mine.

I doubt it, you more then likely are supposed to use the code that comes with the discs (once you receive them)...

I thought I saw something on one of the other forums that, depending on the way you redeem a code from HBO, you could get the UV, Vudu and iTunes version with one code. Is there a way to get all 3? I just wanted to check before I redeemed GoT so I can get everything, if possible.

Yes, you get all 3, just follow the instructions on HBO select site.

Actually, if you follow the instructions on the HBO Select site, you can only get iTunes, Vudu, or Amazon and UV.

But, if you skip the HBO select site and just enter the code directly on the sites, you can get all three. Go into iTunes -> Store -> Redeem and enter the code on the sheet. That will give you the iTunes version. Go to Vudu -> Disc-to-Digital -> Redeem UltraViolet, search for Game of Thrones Season 2, and enter the code on the sheet. That will give you HDX copies through Vudu. Finally, go to Flixster -> Redeem UltraViolet copy, search for Game of Thrones Season 2, and enter the code. That will give you a UV copy.

So, if you want all three, ignore the HBO Select site and just go straight to iTunes, Vudu, and Flixster with the code on the sheet.

You can get both from the same code, but not if you redeem the code through the HBO Select site. You have to redeem the code directly through each service to get both (plus the UV copy).

I've never had a problem using the HBO select site.

I just select Vudu and when the next page loads, it has both Vudu link and Flixster. So Vudu + UV is obtained, and then you can just go to itunes and enter the code for their copy...

Still have to go directly through one of the services though.

Often, when you go to a centralized site like that and you have to choose a service, it invalidates the code for use on the other services. That's why I just always go straight to the service I want to use and enter it there.

Either way, the same code can be redeemed on iTunes, Vudu, and Flixster (for UltraViolet).
