A lot of my internet orders from various companies originate in Kentucky. Apparently it's become something of a warehousing/shipping hub. They probably have a warehouse there or lease space in a warehouse there or something else the state of Kentucky considers a 'physical presence'.

They definitely posted a small segment of the I Married a Witch poster...sort of a 'guess the puzzle from one piece' kind of thing.

But I can't remember the context now. Was that just some random thing they posted or was there additional reason to think they were teasing an eventual release?

I don't remember, but I think usually the 'guess the film' frames are hints...(Blithe Spirit was one, right?).

It really is gorgeous and considering the subject matter, that bright, colorful, Rock Hudson/Doris Day Technicolor look is the absolute perfect choice.

(i know it's not literally technicolor - i'm speaking more broadly of the oversaturated, overrich look...a bigger than life look, if you will)

Sooooo upset!

I got all my criterions in the mail today from best buy that I ordered this past weekend.

And one of the titles I was sent was the wrong version... an import!

lol? wow

Best Buy usually carries A Night To Remember in-store, so just go to the store and do an exchange.

What's Criterion's processing time and then shipping time usually? I got my order confirmation yesterday saying they were processing it but it hasn't been shipped.

This flash sale was great because I didn't think I could make it until B&N's July sale. Now I just have to start saving again.

My store has purged pretty much every criterion except Rosemary's Baby. I think they stocked up during the Criterion sale in December, and Anderson finally took them ALL last week. They had a bunch in store during U&S, but I saw the Anderson lady walk around the aisles with a shopping cart full of Criterions.

So I'll have to re-do an expresslane order I suppose.

I figured out the problem. When me and the girl in ExpressLane did the order, when you search A Night to Remember, there's two blu-ray versions and both have the stock photo of the Criterion version. She did the SKU in the order that wasn't the criterion even though it had the Criterion stock photo version.

So Best Buy just mailed me a new one that's the correct SKU, and all I have to do is return this in-store.

I wonder how is it I don't know of it. There's only 2 main cities I live in one and if its not in those 2 then it must be somewhere with good access to an airport which I suppose would also included up around Cincy but when bad things happen at the airport its KY's otherwise its always Ohio's

Same with mine. I ordered On the Waterfront which seemed to sell-out quickly. My only regret-so many wants; so little income.

Lots of companies ship out of Kentucky and Tennessee because it's a hub if you look at the map. It has roughly equal distance from Kentucky/Tennessee to Miami or Maine and most of the populous cities in the Central/Midwest timezone. Can go to any direction from those states. They have separate warehouses in California that cover the West Coast.

Yeah I remember being blown away by the dvd, so I can only imagine how good it looks in high-def. Such a great film too.

I want to say Hebron, KY is one of the places where tracking info commonly starts. I think both Amazon and Barnes and Noble ship from there.

Funny that you say that. I was at my local BB yesterday searching for Criterion titles (especially On The Waterfront and Two-Lane Blacktop). They used to carry quite a few different titles, but all I could find in the entire store were The Man Who Knew Too Much and Rosemary's Baby. It made me wonder if BB might be dropping their Criterion supply ... they definitely cut them back. Or maybe it's just at my local BB. ???

I noticed the same thing at my local Walmart ... their bluray section has been cut way way back. Bummer.

EDIT: Just saw your post about this, MasturB ... I guess I'm not alone.

I am such idiot sometimes. I must have seen Hebron before somewhere and I live in the damn state

I wish my Amazon had local shipping since it takes 2-3 days from the local warehouse to my front door and I live directly across town.
