First, verify that you have all the drivers installed for your drive. Next, have you tried the software that came with the drive? Are you sure about firmware? Maybe it's asking for the latest version Nero. Bluray disc are UDF 2.5 so most likely you will not "see" the files from windows explorer unless you have a driver for UDF 2.5.

Not sure what you mean by full-screen. Some Bluray movies are not 16x9 so you'll get the letter boxing...there is a thread about this. You could zoom the picture but you'll cut off the edges.

I have not tried the driver but google "HD-DVD UDF 2.5"...

Default nero problems

hEY, I have Nero 8, and i wanted to burn some hd videos in blu- ray disc. I usually burn the video in a rewritable disc
(i can do that) so i can burn it again in a new one, but, instead of a rewritable disc, I used a normal bd-r, but i can´t do it. Every time, i try to do it, the normal dISC is useless, and i don´t have any piece of video in it and i can´t use it any more. I can´t pass any information from one BD-RE to a normal BD-R that is no rewritable. I have wasted a lot of money on disc, and I am afraid that if i burn the video directly in to a Normal Blu- Ray disc it won´t work. (I can do it with rewritable blu- ray disc) do i have to slow the speed down?

Did you buy the Blu-ray video plugin? Nero 8 doesn't ship with it.

Yes, i have it. Like i said, i can burn videos on a rewritable blu ray disc, but, when i have the video, i can´t copy the video in to a new blu ray disc recordable (not rewritable) i can´t pass a video from a blu disc rewritable in to a blu ray disc recordable with the same capacity

I plan on getting a blu-ray burner and I have NERO 8 too! If you dont mind me asking, what OS are you running? I have XP Pro, I was trying to see if it is a Vista issue.

you have to put it in nero 8. Go to Nero StartSmart, then, go next to the logo of nero (with red letters) thats the menu. select update and then, there's a key, put the serial number there and that´s it
