The "ACADEMY" chose The Hurt Locker for best picture of the year, and that movie was a hot mess. The Hurt Locker was one of the worse movies that I've seen in my life.

Got this today and I must say the transfer is gorgeous. This is how all blu's should look. I haven't seen this since it was initially released on DVD. Just a solid movie all around. The amount of detail in the environments is absolutely stunning.

I remember this case from my youth. Scared me to death. I recall reading an in depth article in the Detroit Free Press when I was around 14 or so. Didn't sleep soundly for quite a while after that.

Can't wait to dig into the extra's in the morning.

I'm somewhat conflicted when it comes to the acadamy awards. On one hand, I don't want movies I love to win but on the other hand, if I think they were the best in their catagory, I want them to recieve what they deserve. Ultimately I lean more towards the former.

It's still nice when the right people and the right movies win what they deserve but basically any movie that wins "Best Picture" automatically gets slapped with the label "OVERRATED" by the majority. There's so many good movies being made each year, many of which never even get nominated or spoken of much. The really good ones that either don't win or get nominated are the ones that endure over time. People look back on the Best Picture winners years later and there's a kind of "lame" and "undeserving" stigma attached to it and most people can't help but think Hm, it is good... but such n' such was a way better movie that year

Why can't you just respect someones opinion. I too think its his best performance and am in no way a fanboy. I don't even like his Tony Stark role.

I could never find this in stores, it really annoyed me and I was really confused why a great film, recently released, was almost non existent. I ended up getting it on Amazon for a pretty good price, I think it was like $13, it is definitely one of my favorite Blu-Rays, I watch it more than every other one I own.

I'd say re-watch it, I didn't like it either that much first time round, but I picked it up when it was cheap since it was so critically acclaimed and I thought it was pretty good, at least a lot better than what I first thought, plus it looks awesome on Blu-ray, the trailer shows a lot of what I'm talking about.
