yeah well I just downloaded it and still nothing but "Downloading gameplay settings ... "

gonna go try it on my other ps3 and after that taking it back to bestbuy.

Reset your router and modem. that fixes it for me everytime I have that issue

and if that doesnt work? cuz my friend is having this prob, he says he has pulled his ethernet out of his router trying pluggin back in and it still doesnt work.

yeah I had been trying that but I took the game back to bestbuy and got another one and when I got home same thing

but then I did that just to make sure and its worked ever since

Not until after the DualShock3 is released here in the US, will you see a patch for rumble.

That sucks. But given it is a WW patch and DS3 has been released elsewhere I can't see why not.

Has anyone tried the mute thing? You can only mute a person AFTER the match in the rankings screen. And if you don't do it fast enough, it goes right back to the lobby. It's basically the dumbest thing I've ever seen added to a game.

Are you sure, I thought allowing cats to be attached to guns and used as a silencer was the top in any game.

Yeah, I was wondering how this mute thing works. I kept trying to figure out how to mute and it wouldn't work. I needed it too. These kids were annoying.

So, you have to mute them after the match is completed?

I thought the whole point was to mute them BEFORE the match.

just hit *select* and mute them right as the match starts... I muted a wannaberapper & someone with the crazy buzzing mic sound that never goes away. Worked like a charm.

Ummm you DO know you can hit the SELECT button at the beginning of a match and get the rankings screen right? and it will stay up until you hit SELECT again...

Actually, no I didn't. I usually don't fool around with stuff like that. Meaning that I've just never pushed start or select while in the match or anything. I guess I just never needed to. But, thanks for the heads up.

Being that some US releases have already been updated to support rumble although dualshock 3 has yet to be released is the states there is no logic to that statment. When the rumble is ready for the game it will be released, there is no reason to wait until a dualshock release in the states.

That reason is what IW's 402 has given as to why we don't have rumble in the PS3 version of COD4. Check his blog, it's in the comment section.

given that most games have already been patched to include it, I wish IW would have done so by now especially considering how big COD4 is

played last night, found myself in a killcam with the airstrike AND a grenade.

it seems that a lot of other folks are just 'trying em out' like i did... hehehe.
