LOL I was about to put that...I guess that's everyones favorite..

I also like Jackie Chans Drunken Master too. NOT the newer version but I bought one from a flea market along time ago that was really good it was in a different language but the action was great and I could understand what was going on.

I like all the Bruce Lee movies too. I have enter the dragon on Blu.
Have any of the others made it or due to make it soon?

Mine is the Eric Roberts/ James Earl Jones film Best Of The Best because it is about martial arts rather than an excuse for a martial arts star to show off thier skill. It even takes the trope of 'Brother Seeks revenge' and turns it on it's head with one of the protagonists not wanting to. The actual fight sequences also feel real in thier staging. Imported to the UK the R1 dvd for the anamorphic transfer a few years ago. The other films in the series are pure junk...

I must be the odd one out, because Enter the Dragon is not my favorite.

My fave as of now is Chocolate. I enjoyed the story, I loved the main character to death, and it still has some of the most jaw-dropping action and fight choreography that I've seen. I loved how Zen kept kicking the dudes into lockers during the warehouse fight, and the way she was able to move through small tight spaces so quickly. The butcher fight was really great too, but that one stood out to me because it played on the character's fear of flies so much and made her vulnerable. The rest of the film is cool, even if the ending resembles Kill Bill to a large extent.

Well, actually, Kill Bill probably should count as my favorite martial arts film. I figure you probably only want genuine non-English films for this thread.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - just beautiful.
House of Flying Daggers - Love the action, costumes, characters. Lots of beautiful people.

I do a +1 for Best of the Best.

I have a soft spot for American Ninja... big fan of that when I was a kid... it didn't age that well though.

Recently I watched Ip Man and it was fantastic... I am in need of some good martial art movies.

FIST of FURY.

When Lee walks into the Japanese Dojo, to exact revenge for an earlier insult on his people and school, all hell breaks out!
Martial Arts Cinema has never been the same, since.

I can't pick a favorite but me and my younger brother saw all the Steven Segal and Van Damme films when we were teens at the theater. Now they just seem really bad. Great memories though.

I don't care for Martial Arts much, but both Ong Bak and Ip Man are great.

Fist of Fury is the original starring Bruce Lee, aka The Chinese Connection. Not to be confused with Fists of Fury, aka The Big Boss.

It was remade as Fist of Legend with Jet Li, and a pseudo-remake with Donnie Yen called The Legend of the Fist: Return of Chen Zhen.
