Well, as I've already stated many times on this thread, I won't be rebuying "Enter the Dragon"...I'm more than satisfied with the current release despite the aliasing issue (and the fact that it has lossy, albeit acceptable, audio). However, I am happy for the many people out there who have been eagerly anticipating a mega-box set for this film (as well as a remastered release).

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it strange that we're getting another re-release of "Enter the Dragon" (for like the 100th time) with more unnecessary bonus features, yet it's still unknown if the upcoming June re-release of "The Road Warrior" (to coincide with the Mad Max trilogy box-set) will even feature a lossless audio track ?

Might get the ultimate set but hopefully there's a standard release. A digibook would be nice.

Wait... What? You're not going to get the full blown 4K restoration of Enter the ****ing Dragon?

No...But I'm happy that it's going to be available for all those who want it. I very much enjoy the film, but it's not one I tend to watch as often as my other movies, so I'm fine with it. Plus, the current BD looks just fine on my TV at the distance I usually sit to watch, and I don't have such a large display that the jaggies drive me nuts. I can easily see them if I want to, but I'm usually too caught up in the film to let them distract me. Plus, as funny as this may sound, when I do have the disc in, I spend more time watching the "Game of Death" fight sequence between Bruce and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (which may be some of the funniest fight choreography I've ever seen ) than I do watching "Enter the Dragon" (which when I am watching, is usually only my favorite Williams' scenes..."Man, you come right out of a comic book!!!!")

Wasn't there some sort of "rights" issue?

Yes, that doc was removed from the 2010 re-release Blu, and is only available on the original 2007 disc. I think some of it had to do with the "Game of Death" material included in that feature.

I just hope that Warners have done a new transfer, 'cause I can't stand the old jaggie version. I've got Warrior's Journey on DVD so I'm good for that.

I could be wrong, but I think they were supposed to. Here's hoping!

The film, which helped bring interest in the Asian martial arts genre to mainstream Western cinema, has been re-mastered for its 40th anniversary..

Thanks for posting. Am not a fan of that artwork. They should have used the artwork on the front of that booklet/sheet thing as pictured to the right.

Unnecessary to you, yes. Unnecessary to others, most likely not.
I don't see how this release affects MM in any way, shape, or form...short of being from WB. Were I you, I'd just assume that MM2 will just be a recycled disc. Again, one has nothing to do with the other.

If the transfer has been done properly i.e. no nasty DNR/EE and features a lossless audio track, I will purchase.

But the artwork I am sorry to say, is on par with these atrocities (maybe not as bad per se):

I bought the existing Enter the Dragon Blu-ray at a used store for five dollars back in December, and it's pretty awesome viewing, even if the transfer is not a major revelation.

If a standard single-disc edition of the remaster goes on sale without the bells and whistles, or if the big edition is on sale for a low price, I'll bite the hook and then just give my existing Blu-ray to a needy family at church or something.

Really really terrible artwork. Glad I was right about it being in a smaller box vs other UCE's. I'll likely just toss out the box, and get a custom cover for the amaray as that cover art is just hideous, and not fitting at all for Bruce Lee.
