Default criterion laserdisc

Hello,

I have a very hard to find Criterion LaserDisc especial edition of Akira. Only watched once it is in insanely great conditions. It looks brand new and has only been taken out of the original packaging once.

I am looking to sell it for $110 shipping included to anyone who is interested.

Please send me a message to discuss the price and other terms if interested at all.

Thanks in advance for any response.

Best,
Max

PS
This is the 3 disc edition which includes the making of Akira documentary. 5-sides LD.

Actually the details are going to blow your mind. Armond White is helping me develope it, so nothing's off limits.

Has anyone here from the US used Zavvi lately for UK orders? I'm on the fence with either dealing with them for the BFI "Chaplin at Keystone" or dealing with Amazon UK. Zavvi is cheaper by a few dollars, but if Amazon UK is significantly quicker as far as delivery, then it might be worth a few more bucks to deal with them instead.

Watched The Kid with a Bike last night. Good movie but easily forgotten IMO. Ending could have been better as well. First film by these Belgian directors but I'll visit some of their earlier work.

Just a little F.Y.I. - all of their films (it seems) end abruptly.

I really really want to see it too--- but I haven't seen that previous film, though netflix has it to watch instantly, so maybe I'll give it a look first.

Oh I totally agree with your point (as does my avatar)...I just find that hubris funny, in a way.

Perhaps thanks to their methodical 10% off coupons, I use Zavvi from time to time - most recently for the Goldeneye steelbook last month. I've never had a problem with them in terms of missing orders or damaged product, and in my experience the shipping speed has been comparable to Amazon UK's.

LOL No wonder I don't understand it.

I watched Primer again quite recently, clearly I am a loooooooong way from knowing what is going on in that movie Still love it though, part of it is because it makes me feel completely stupid.

After revisiting Paris, Texas last night after not having seen it in years I can confidently say it ranks as one of my top 5 favorite in the collection.

Yup. But it's lazy for us to fall back on this as opposed to rewatching the movie.

Y'know, I was very happy to have stumbled over that a week or so ago. Got me fired up to re-watch the movie. As others have posted, this movie is not made to make you feel smart. It's challenging and not a little confusing. I have no problem believing most people who say they didn't like a movie because they spotted the twist early. I may be dumb because not only do I really enjoy this movie (which is an easy one to dislike on many fronts) but because I've watched it several times and still don't get it. There's a Möbius strip quality.

Why am I the only one who ever brings up Timecrimes when Primer comes up?

I can't be the only Timecrimes fan in here.

That's just crazy talk.

It's slowly climbing up my Netflix queue. Maybe not here, but I've heard/seen it mentioned many times (which is how I heard of it).

I like Timecrimes, but I can't stand the unlikeable clueless quality of the main character. I much prefer Triangle, actually.

I watched the first half of Following last night and I can definitely see what all the raves were about.

All the breathless 'masterpiece' talk in the site's review seemed a bit over the top but I can kind of see it now.

(Yes, I know, I know...it's only a freaking hour long, why didn't I just finish it...it was 4am and I couldn't turn it up loud enough to make out all the dialogue and I didn't really want to go to subs. And I was liking it too much to just force through the rest of it)

I got my Criterion order in..

I got Carlos from them, since they've said all their editions will be the correct ones...but there's no indication anywhere in my set that it's a second printing. How do I know for sure??

Speaking of timelines, has anyone ever found the "key" to Synecdoche, New York? Somewhere, I read that there was a drawing/chart/graph/something that was used on set to keep track of where each scene was in time. Is it online?
