1) Yes, the order will drop automatically when you pick the item up and you will be charged the lower amount.

2) Unfortunately, they have seemed to do away with pre-ordering for In-Store pickup so it's really a moot point. Usually In-Store Pickup is activated on release date and the price has also usually dropped by then.

That's happened to me on a few times last year. Store pickup is like a little safety net. I still try to be there right when they open.

if they are region free.

note : here in Finland is the hobbit steelbook released w/ both 3d and 2d versions included. think we have only release that have both ... and i have some other steels to trade too. or could buy something you want ... ?

that's too bad. if BB wanted to stop that practice all they had to do is:

not give you the case until you came to pick up the movie with a receipt.

or

give you the case first with a non refundable (unless you return the case unopened and undamaged) $10 place holder.

plain and simple.

No, it was because of the Viva lawsuit. Viva cases were the brand that Disney/BB used as their exclusive presells.

Does that apply to the regular steels such as Ghost Rider: SoV though? Because unless it's Disney, it most likely wouldn't be a Viva case.

Yes, they would have to strike a deal with Steelbook. I was just pointing out that Disney/Viva were the main contributors to BB's empty presell cases.
Which is why we aren't seeing any presells being offered, not because people were just buying the cases.
