On an objective note, it's one of the most crowd pleasing movies of last year, alongside End of Watch, Perks, Argo & Django.

I actually thought END OF WATCH

[Show spoiler]ended on a happy note with the scene that took place earlier in the movie, kind of celebrating if you will there time together.

This prof was highly problematic, as she would gossip about anyone and everyone, often within hearing of the person she was gossiping about. She didn't teach, and basically treated everyone like crap. I used to be one of her "favourites" but she tends to turn on them, and badly, once she finds a new one. Like I said, the Dean was well aware of what was going on, since the majority of the students were doing poorly, and making well below their usual grades. However, most of my friends wouldn't complain as they thought it would make the grades worse, and she would prevent them from getting into Masters programs, as she had tenure. Also, the fact that they went to the Department head, and he ran and tattled on them, as the two of them were buddy buddy scared them off too. You know it's the prof's problem when the bloody Dean of Arts comes out and says so, and that your peers really should be complaining to him.

Robinson Crusoe on Mars is a great Criterion title. It was one of the DVDs that I sold off recently in anticipation of upgrading to Blu-ray soon, but I got a lot of mileage out of that DVD.

Those same ships were used in The War of the Worlds (original movie) with better results, but they're great in this one just the same.

I'd love to see more 1950s era sci-fi on Criterion (although I was not particularly taken with the bottom-of-the-barrel picks on Criterion's Monsters and Madmen set). I also want Criterion to upgrade Fiend Without a Face. That was a classy and brilliant Criterion offering on DVD.

Speaking of which, who else here is fired up about The Blob?
I can't wait!

Yup lol. I own all of the Criterions so whatever I didn't include are the ones that I've seen. I watched a lot of them recently over the past couple of months.
