I'll be taking my 6-year-old daughter to see this one in 2D. I got a ticket with the Rise of the Guardians pre-order and just took my son to see Oz TG&P, so she is excited that it is her turn. She likes to say 'dun-dun-duuuuuun' like Belt does in the trailers.

Looks like it could be an okay movie. Probably not up there with some of the animated hits of last year (Wreck-It Ralph, Brave, etc) but worth eight dollars to make a memory with my little girl.

I'm not expecting much, but with the director of How To Train Your Dragon involved I'm hoping that at least my kid will enjoy it. Looks like fun.

There's already a thread on this forum somewhere. Don't worry, someone will be posting a link if there is.

Anyway, this looks meh to me, but I get a kick out of the Belt sloth going, "dun-dun-duuuuun!"

I also thought there was a thread, but can't find it. Wanted to hear other members thought about this movie.

My daughter LOVES How to Train Your Dragon, so there's at least an even chance she'll have an enjoyable movie experience.

Yes, as most parents will attest, Dreamworks's marketing...DOES rather know how to play the subconscious urges of 3-6 yo.'s like a harp from hell.

(I, OTOH, like to move-it, move-it.)

No kidding, my 4 year old has been jokingly asking "Where are my feet?" after her shoes go on because of the ads for this.

This one's going to be a chore to sit through, I imagine.

But it's the new Nic Cage film, so I will be there opening night.

This should have a huge weekend. When was the last animated family film in theaters? Rise of the Guardians(Nov.)? The kids(and parents) are getting cabin fever, getting tired of watching reruns of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Here comes Spring! Here comes The Croods!

I never even noticed who was doing the voice acting on this one. I knew about Emma Stone and Ryan Renolds because I saw them on the news the other day doing a promo interview.

Hope it will have enough moments for the parents to keep me somewhat entertained.

Hopefully. But I don't even like "good" kids films (not that I am "too cool," it's just not my thing), and this looks to be mediocre at best. I am, however, a Nic Cage diehard fanatic, and I see everything of his. The way I see, no matter how bad (or good) this thing is, it will still be better than The Ant Bully.

Glad someone liked it. One of the worst I've ever seen, in my opinion, and by FAR the worst Cage film.
