How's The Song of Bernadette doing in numbers? And how can I get the counts at my convenience on my own? Do I have to join ScreenArchives?

You don't have to join etc. You just create an account and order from them if you like.

I'd like to know that also. It's the only title I can't get to update the numbers correctly.

Update: This situation has been resolved. My package arrived today...with my mail.

Whoever received this package must've returned it to the Post Office rather than to UPS. I returned a message to UPS to notify them of my receipt and sent an email to SAE as well.

One thing to remember, for anyone that loses a package that was to have been delivered via UPS; the shipper, not the receiver, should (or must) be the party to notify UPS of the non-delivery and initiate a lost package investigation and claim.

I just checked their FB page and came up empty. I would assume they'll be included given what was done with the Flint movies, but I could be wrong.

I think the sale really helped The Egyptian.

It helped modestly. Right before 4pm on that Friday, the Egyptian was down to 391. Post-sale it was down to 358. So the sale only helped sell 33. I had been curious on the sale's effects, so I took down some data. I waited until Saturday to record the change to give time to process all the orders. The real benefactors of the sale were The Fury (which is still riding its pre-order momentum), the Flint movies, Enemy Mine, and Experiment in Terror. I myself ordered the Fury, OMF, Rapture and NaA to get my signed copy of Christine. For those who are interested, here's the complete table:

Movie / Friday pre-sale / Saturday midday / Net change
  • As Good As It Gets, 1319, 1285, 34
  • Bell, Book and Candle, 1511, 1486, 25
  • Beloved Infidel, 1679, 1674, 5
  • Big Heat, 679, 633, 46
  • Bite the Bullet, 2067, 2056, 11
  • Blue Lagoon, 1829, 1788, 41
  • Bonjour Tristesse, 1405, 1389, 16
  • Bye Bye Birdie, 436, 420, 16
  • Cover Girl, 1391, 1378, 13
  • Demetrius..., 1694, 1684, 10
  • Desiree, 2156, 2149, 7
  • Egyptian, 391, 358, 33
  • Enemy Mine, 1146, 1083, 63
  • Experiment in Terror, 1011, 957, 54
  • Fury, 1443, 1273, 170
  • High Time, 1346, 1342, 4
  • In Like Flint, 1086, 1017, 69
  • Lost Horizon, 1039, 1025, 14
  • Nicholas and Alexandra, 1218, 1181, 37
  • Our Man Flint, 789, 734, 65
  • Pal Joey, 2032, 2022, 10
  • Picnic, 1706, 1700, 6
  • Pony Soldier, 1730, 1720, 10
  • Rains of Ranchipur, 1503, 1496, 7
  • Rapture, 2110, 2078, 32
  • Roots of Heaven, 2153, 2151, 2
  • Song of Bernadette, ???, ???, ???
  • Sound and the Fury, 1543, 1541, 2
  • Steel Magnolias, 1081, 1056, 25
  • Swamp Water, 1951, 1937, 14

Thanks for the detective work! Nice to see Experiment in Terror moving so briskly, although Rapture still gets no love, and hasn't even sold 1,000 copies yet!

Edit: Just for the record, The Big Heat and The Fury have each sold 9 copies since Saturday, and Experiment 18.

In Like Flint and Our Man Flint?

I've never seen these. Thinking about picking them up.

They look like James Bond spoof type flicks.

Tell me a bit about them.

Think of a 1960's version of Austin Powers

They ARE James Bond spoof type flicks.

But I would draw a distinction between the Flint Movies and the Austin Powers movies.

The Austin Powers flicks are straight-up comedies. They are slap-stick using a 1960's spy theme.

The Flint movies are a kind of film that you don't really see much of anymore. The Flint movies play as farce. It's straight-faced acting with the tongue-in- cheek. They are a "send-up" of spy films rather than a comedic yuk-fest.

since the Flint movies have proven to be good sellers maybe TT should go after the Matt Helm set, maybe even as their first box set
