Default I, Robot at Circuit City

I have a $30 dollar gift card for CC that's burning a hole in my pocket. After seeing a number of stellar reviews for I, Robot I decided to go to CC and pick it up on blu. Unfortunately, I visited two stores and was not able to find any copies (but they did have six copies of I am Legend). When I came home and checked on the website, I can't find the title. What's going on here?? Are they not stocking this movie?

Saw I, Robot at Best Buy but not ID4. Costco surprisingly had both. A boat load of them infact.

I talked to their corp headquarters. Appears they aren't carrying either I, Robot, or ID4 being that they are catalogue titles and are being very very selective on anything but new releases.

that's odd... i mean these are pretty big catalogue releases if you ask me. It's not like we're talking VOLVER here (that's not a diss to volver)...

I got the impression (it was hinted at) that floor space was a premium and catalogue titles are pretty much not being stocked for the time being.

That's pretty surprising...hopefully this changes over the next few months as HD-DVD's shelf space begins to disappear

A little too selective I might add. They're not carrying 2 catalog titles that features the current biggest box office star? That makes no sense whatsoever. But then again, that's another reason why Circuit City blows.

This is a store that carries shitty films like Are We Done Yet and Little Man, but won't carry 2 Will Smith blockbusters.

i know, I called cuz I had some gift card money and couldn't find either of them in stock at my local stores , they did this when Resident evil came out as well. Carried #2 and of course number 3, but they didn't carry #1 because it was a catalogue title. sheesh, no wonder they are going out of business.

Sounds like some BS corporate blanket policy is biting CC in the ass. Doesn't surprise me. Ineptness and Circuit City are words often seen in the same sentence nowadays. 'Tis a shame...

I know. I went to CC when looking for my plasma and when the salesman saw me looking at them he was very quick to tell me that were only feeding them 480p that was split about 50 times so that the quality I was seeing was the worst I would ever see from it. Great way to get people to buy.

I did wind up getting it from there, but only becuase after I decided which one I got they had the best price and I had a 10% off coupon so I was able to get a TV I would not have been able to afford elsewhere. However, if the only info somebody had was looking at the TVs at CC they would decide a HD TV wasn't worth it because the picture looked horrible.

When I bought my first HDTV from CC, it was a good thing that that I knew what I was looking at, because the salesman that came over to "help" me with my options knew jackpiss about what I was talking about.

Circus City's search engine stinks. I can't remember how I found this a few days ago, but it was still in my "recently viewed items" list. So here ya go:

WTF? They've got a boat-load of HD-DVD catalog titles! LOL

Bought ID4 and I, Robot at Target... you might try there.

You could always order it online and use your gift card that way.

they're still carrying stock of catalogues that were released way back in the day. They haven't carried any catalogues that have been released in the last few months though if you'll notice.

No, I really hadn't noticed... and truthfully I'm not that well versed in HD-DVD... I just know that my Golden Four are on HD-DVD, but not Blu (Casablanca, Big Lebowski, Eternal Sunshine and Lost in Translation)... and CC has all four in stock.

I was talking about catalogues for both formats. they stopped carrying "new" catalogues several months back for both formats.
