I was not aware the prints on that set were of high quality...just assumed they were public domain prints. I will definitely be picking this up then for the other 4 titles. I only have them on the 20 film Mill Creek collection so this will be nice. Thanks for the tip!

I have this set. I wasn't overall impressed with the transfer of Marnie (one of my favorite films). Also there were several errors in the small publication booklet pertaining to Movie Posters and Lobby Cards.

I thought Saboteur looked outstanding. I haven't viewed any of the others.

I recently purchased Dial M in blu-ray/3D but haven't had a chance to view it.

I ordered Lifeboat from Germany and it doesn't work in my player. Not sure who said it was region free but I'm out $17. I'll try and sell it on eBay....

Oh no! I'm so sorry! Concorde confirmed themselves that all their releases were region free. I'll remove the region code now.

Now I know not to rely on the submitted info on this site. I usually check those out when I import. People need to actually test the discs before submitting any region coding info.

I tried to warn people about this. The region coding on caps-a-holic.com is never wrong.. And if it is, it's corrected very quickly.

Looks like I'm updating my list again! Someday, maybe Fox/MGM will get it together and release this in the U.S. along with the others they have the rights to.

Do Fox/MGM only hold the rights to "Lifeboat" and "The Paradine Case" among what they haven't released on blu-ray? I believe the British titles in the "Premiere Collection" are with Criterion now.

The Lionsgate release is pretty solid. The titles are some of the ones owned by StudioCanal. Still waiting for a second volume from Lionsgate....

Yep. Those are it. So I guess it's probably not even worth it for them to release another Hitchcock box set.

Is it possible that it is indeed region free, but has a 50hz menu that won't load on your player. That could be the problem. have no idea.

Looks like we're getting a blu-ray version of the DVD Hitchcock Essentials collection for those that just want to dip their toes in the pool.

06/04/13 - Includes 5 films - Rear Window, Vertigo, N by NW, Psycho and The Birds.

I knew Universal was going to find some way to tempt me into upgrading my DVDs.

$55 is pretty decent price too. I might just sell off my copy of Psycho and pick that up. I wonder if it'll have a book-style packaging like the Masterpiece collection

I notice at Amazon. It, there's 2 upcoming boxsets too with 7 movies each (basically the Masterpiece collection split in 2)

Yep, they're doing it in the Scandanavian region, too. I guess to help purchases by not making them buy it all at once.

Cool! I will definitely be getting this. And getting the singles as well. Just can't afford the original boxset.

Just received this in the mail. Nice little packaging too...and for $8 can't beat that. Thanks again for the recommendation!
