Reward points from Best Buy are pretty cheap. I recall you can get a $5 certificate with just 100 points or so but now its 250 points I think for a $5 certificate. Correct me if I'm wrong.

This happens every year. People get spoiled by the big end of year sales. There will be some deals here and there, best deals are almost always later in the year.

Would agree, prices have just been OK for the past couple months. But that's ok, just roll with it. It's not like stores. HAVE to discount heavily. It's just a bonus when they do. So lets not be spoiled.

Also I'm surprised a certain someone hasn't come in here and asked "how is this a hot deal?"

You want better deals? Then stop buying BDs.
Strong sales figures usually mean less deals.

I am able to find deals these days, sure, but if you are talking about deals that were obtained during the last 2 months of 2012, well, I think those days are long gone, or at least until the last 2 months of 2013....It certainly helps out tremendously that BBY is going the RZ promotion thru Facebook...and you can occasionally find a gem or 2 at Walmart....Plus, you cant forget BBY's U&S sales that occur during the year, especially if you can get them to do Express Lane orders for you with U&S coupon...that was a BIG difference maker for me during the last U&S sale...

How bout a nice $5 off anything coupon code for Deep Discount? That might not even be exciting because I'm not sure what they charge for shipping theses days.

I'm with you man. Don't care about reward points. Too complicated. Even though its probably as easy as tying your shoes.

Funny you mention that... a couple weeks ago, they sent me a $5 off code out of the blue. Hard to find a "great" deal though. Shipping was $1.99. I ended up getting Nurse Jackie S2 (for the lady) for $10.xx.
I have two accounts and was only sent one code.

This. Its just that time of year. To be honest its probably not worth buying much of anything until the black friday time of year. So much savings. Im disappointed in gohastings, not only are the movies over priced, the books have been oos forever too. They usually keep things interesting year around.

Yes, this time of year there are usually not many sales, but I am personally OK with that. I can save some money, and get to watching the 80+ unwatched blu's I already got good deals on!
