Default HD DVDs are GONE!!!

I've been long complaining to BlockBuster for EVEN have HD DVDs in store for rental, however, a surprise today, there were NO HD DVD signs nor movies for sale nor rental, the only HD movies are BluRay and Blu section is three times the size comparing to a week ago.

I'm very pleased

Why do you complain about or even care if your local store has HD DVDs? It's not like they are making you rent them.

My local Blockbuster no longer rents HD DVD's. In fact, all of the HD DVD movies were on sale for $14.99.

Agreed. You're not forced to rent them. Blu-ray has already won...most places will slowly start to clearance and get rid of their stuff. One thing is not wanting them there (as a blu-ray supporter) but to actually COMPLAIN? hmm...I just don't see the point.

That's the truth. You should be happy, my BB doesn't have any BD's at all. The guy's explanation?...'waiting for market saturation.' Whatever.

becuz they should've known better to not even involved with HD DVD to begin with!!! so every time I would say they are "stupid"!!!

just like how I compalined to FutureShop when they used to call BluRay Disc, BluRay DVD, luckily that has also been changed on their website a few months ago.

I think you're being a tad immature about the subject. All the people that invested in Blu-ray "knew" that bluray would win. Just like all the people that invested in Hd-DVD "knew". There was a market for both formats, they were trying to cater to all customers, it's not stupid of them.

Woopdeedoo. My Blockbuster doesn't even sell HD DVDs or Blu-Ray Discs. The closest rental place that has them is at least half an hour away.

all best buys will be doing send backs of every hd dvd at the end of this month and offering money to people who mail in hd dvd's and/or players. not to mention the 50 dollar gift card you get if you bought a hd dvd player or the ad on before February 23rd this year.

Yeah that one bugged me too, only because the DVD Forum are such tits that I didn't want "DVD" being associated with good old Blu.

A tad ????

I wish my Blockbuster still rented them. But at least I can still rent them through Blockbuster.com (for now).

Default King of Pain

I went to a Rex's Audio/Video yesterday. The guy had no XBR's, No Onkyo, No Blu discs, No Blu Players.

He reported, "No, I only deal in HD-DVD right now... Yeah, we do HD (nodding as if this is some sort of wise move on his part).

I had to clench my teeth so hard to prevent my jaw from hitting the ground.

It took all I had not not ask him ... "Why?" But, I guess, I just didn't want to make him feel dumber than he already knew he was... Felt bad for him actually.

Alright, ALRIGHT!!! I have to take issue with you using the word tits in a derogatory sense. (I'm assuming you meant the small birds by that name... I happen to like them and I will not sit idly by as you malign the good name of tits everywhere)

It is best for everyone to move on. HD DVD is a thing of the past that will be forgotten very quickly. I predict that Home Media Magazine will not publish the Blu-ray vs HD DVD charts this Friday. Why keep on ?

"immature about the subhect" lol r u kidding me with this????

I know SONY's history, products and strategies like the back of my hand. Like I didnt know BluRay would win, u r too funny!!! do a search when I said in a reply that WB would swtich to Blu exclusive withint 4 months becuz SONY insider told me there would be a pay-off even tho it was never known to the mass public.

I own mass amount of SONY stocks, I have VIP account at SONY Tokyo, and I know the president of SONY Canada, also other general managers, the list just goes on and on, so however u like to take my reaction, calling me "imature" about anything to do with SONY, it the biggest insult to me!!!

it's a SONY > like.no.other
