I know a lot of you like the novels, the books and the other range of mediums that extend the story, but can we just focus this thread on the actual films.

Well seeing as nobody know what the actual films will be about, it stands to reason that anything is fair game!
Unless you have some inside information?

IMO there really isn't much more to say about the actual film until we hear more. So everything discussed will simply be speculation. This will be a very quiet thread until new information is released if it isn't expanded on. Besides, there is nothing wrong with a little variety.

The article is dated today so you can understand. Also the article says that Ford has NOT officially said he is on board and most people think that is fact. Did you read the link?

That story was based upon her interview with Palm Beach Illustrated from the beginning of the month. She later recanted, but then George Lucas said all three main actors from the original trilogy have been signed already.

No official announcement has been made by Disney/Lucasfilm, but all signs point to this being true.

The problem is the thread is titled "Star Wars: Episode VII" and nothing being discussed is related to Episode VII. If there is nothing to discuss in relation to Episodde VII then the thread should sit idle until there is. That way when someone posts new information it doesn't get burried in thousands of posts about all the other crap.

If everyone wants to discuss the EU then there should be a seperate thread for that discussion rather than taking over a thread with a different topic.

Nothing is more frustrating that searching for information, finding the thread that SHOULD have information your looking for but having to dig through hundredss of pages and thousands of posts to sift out all the irrelevant information.

A year from now, when there really is stuff to discuss regarding Episode VII this thread will be so rediculously huge it won't be worth the effort for most to even try and read it.

I agree and though I have been guilty, you are right only factual or at least rumored stuff about VII info should be shared here.

All wish lists and could be's will really make this a giant thread next year.

Right. That "game" made a lot of logical sense. Vader jumps like a frog and walks like a clod. Opposing forces just happen to point their weapon the wrong way when he approaches. And that's if you buy that his hand-held weapon has the power to do destroy all the things it's destroying without also damaging the user. Tell my why no opposing force couldn't circle behind him and shoot him in the back.

I think so too. Man, did you see how Luke batted the shit out of Vader in the final fight?. I get goosebumps from that.

That's not far fetched as we have seen Sith undertake training dark Jedi (Ventress, Savagage) in the Clone Wars cartoon ... and even Mara Jade was "The Emperor's Hand" ... (I do doubt Mara will be in the new trilogy but it would be cool to see some clone wars characters)

Hmmm, that's certainly interesting. However, I feel like that's almost an easy way out. I believe they could be a bit more creative than that.
