I picked up a copy shortly after my Best Buy opened. There were 8 to 10 that I saw. I also picked up the Avengers collectors set for $20 and BB's Hobbit exclusive. Walmart wanted $30 for the digibook and they refused to honor the price in the ad. So, I just said "No thanks, I'll just buy it from BB!"

Some locations got more than others. This whole thing about it being limited is being blown out of proportion.

This is the second time I've seen you explain yourself after the initial comment is made, so it seems questionable.

My local store got 5 for this release, Wrath of the Titans, and Resident Evil: Retribution. I think they got about 10 of Underworld: Awakening. Rather limited for a tri-county area with over 500,000 people.

funny you mention walmart and hobbit, it rang up $29.96 and not until after i paid did i notice, so i had to go to customer service and do return/rebuy for 22.96

i dont get how they can refuse to honor their own ad, id call corporate and complain

i dont think its being blown out of proportion at all, from most of the posts on here the majority of stores got an average of 8 or so of these

That's asking for too much.

So basically, they were out of stock by 10:01.
I was at the Atwater location, too. Were you the fellow who handed me a copy when it looked like there were only 2 on the shelf at first? That was very cool of you, man. Good thing there were a few more; seemed like everyone who wanted one at opening got one. I wonder how many in total were set aside for store pickup.

I really don't understand people. They'd rather post questions and wait for answers instead of searching retailers' websites, which actually requires less time and effort for them and for others.

Our local BB in the middle of Iowa had tons of steelbooks. I think that we got the extras from around the country.

I am not from the USA, I have never used Best Buy before and I don't know what zipcode to use...

1) It isn't hard to use their site at all.
2) If your location is accurate in your bio, how do you not know your zip code?
