My plans for upgrades include:
a new PRO-110FD for the television
no idea for receiver (mines a yunky Sony)

Anyways, just dropping in to make my first post and introduce myself. I've got lots of upgrading to do and hopefully the reading material on here will guide me in the right direction.
Welcome onboard.

You have chosen expensive plasma as an upgrade.
Is there any reason for selecting plasma for future upgrade. Is it high contrast and good black-level of this display?

Some people are not comfortable with plasmas especially for games, due to the possibility of burn-in. But plasma's are good for movies.

Do some more research on LCD/LCOS versus plasma and also think of amount of game playing and watching movies before making the final decision.

Edit: removed the reference to long response times. see the posts below.
