Thats because of Free worldwide shipping, so while it may look good at face value, the profit margin is gone and without tracking internationally he may lose his butt if it gets lost

So, I wonder if the BBY actually was able to find one for me. I'll know in a week or so. If you had to bet on it, would you say I'll get one or not?

I was just reinforcing rickah88's post. He's still coming close to doubling his money by selling it for $74.99. International shipping with USPS is $23.95. But you're right that there are risk involved as well without the tracking or insurance.

Even keeping with your flawed logic, your PS3 a little more than doubled in 3 days time. That's almost what this is doing, in the same amount of time.
Flawed logic? Wow. That flawed logic has served me well in life. I've made a lot of money buying things at the right time and selling them at a better time and all I am saying is that right now, when demand is the highest, for a sold out item, you'd think if it was going to be VERY valuable, it would be higher than it is. You might disagree with me, but my logic is sound.

I tell ya what, some of you guys love to argue and criticize others.

But...but...it takes two to tango!
I'm not doubting you made money selling items on ebay, congrats who hasn't. I was stating that your example of the PS3 and comparing it to this release is, most definitely, flawed for the reason I gave.
You can accept, or not...doesn't matter to me.

Now the only thing we have to do is sit back and see just how high the market does go for this release.

How is it different? It was a hot item, sold out, that is really all that matters. The comparison is quite accurate considering the situation and circumstances. Timing is everything with things like this and a lot of the profit chance, comes during the initial flurry, when folks realize the item is sold out and want one.

For the record, you guys are the ones picking nits, I'm just defending what I thought was a very harmless, non-confrontational, and non-controversial opinion on the future for the item. You guys are the ones acting like I insulted a family member.

I really hope you do my friend, really, but I would say your odds are 50/50, maybe less.

I think it's time we all found a better place to sell our stuff because if those fees are correct it is a rip off. Especially considering eBay owns Paypal as well.

I'll have to agree, it is getting to the point where I am noticing the fees a lot more and really, I never used to pay them any attention at all.

How is it different? How is it the same?
As I said, there was no other purchasing option for the PS3 at that time. Where with ZDT SB, there was a wide release(in greater quantity) sitting right next to it. Therefore people that couldn't obtain the steel were probably okay with the wide release. It's really that simple.

Almost 15% fees. I suggest we create our own
Marketplace with 2% fees and price control. For example: profit can
Never be 5 times the original retail price. Who joins me?

You're just trying to be obtuse at this point. We're not talking about "other options" sir, my entire point has been about THIS item and the situational similarity. You can use your smarmy little emoticons for the next million posts, but you're making a mountain out of a mole hill, in some bizarre effort to argue something that is simply an opinion. Why don't we just agree to disagree and move on.

Yeah they suspended my account after I sold a few items and are holding my money for still 45 days or something. I have no idea why they did that, everyone gave me a 5 star rating...

Eh, see, that takes the market out of the item. I like eBay for allowing the market to dictate price, but right now, my main issue with them is their greed and arrogance when it comes to fees.

Well, adjust your prices accordingly, sell locally, sell/trade on Forums like this one, or sell on Craigslist. Either that or start your own sell/trade website.

paypal is only 3% and ebay fees are actually higher when you take into account the listing price and the FVF they now charge on the shipping price.

Amazon is
.80 closing fee
movies are 15%
