Could every game FINALLY get the chance for trophy support?

According to this patent that has been filed, IT IS possible.

Resistance Fall of Man
Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction

I love trophies but this sounds terrible. While I would LOVE to platinum Final Fantasy VII this feels like it's going to just kill everything, much like earning Xbox achievements on a cell phone...

IDK. It feels weird to type that and maybe i'll have another opinion tomorrow, but for now I say pass.

If ou don't want the trophies you don't have to earn them....l

Yes please!!!!!!! I havn't really been trophy hunting all that much anymore but this could definitely change that for me.

I seriously doubt this has anything to do with PS1/PS2 Classics especially the PS1 games. The way the PS1 Classics are made would make it impossible to put in trophy support. PS2 Classics is a maybe but I still have my doubts about that. But as for PS3 games, I can see older games getting trophy support since it's already happened before.

I think this new patent is just to make giving older PS3 games trophy support easier than it used to be.

Is this potentially for the PS1 and PS2 games being played on the PS3 or PS4 or both? Will it only be for digital versions of the games or will I be able to play a PS1 or PS2 game from disc and can still get trophies? I guess we will have to wait and see.

I liked Hanna Montana more than half of the other "good" games or "guy" games i've played so I never care when someone brings that up...
