i think that Best Buy is a great retailer. NO major retailers carry the SHOUT titles, so its not just them.

I have purchased EVERY title from the shout and scream line through BEST BUY.

they are fantastic, deliver early most of the time, have great customer service.
They price match with amazon too!! Most brick and mortar stores do not price match with Amazon, so they really are trying...

i really have no problems with best buy the 3 stores by me are just terribley stocked and i get mad everytime i go there and dont have the movie im looking for

oh, me too darling. Its my son and daughters favorite film. They keep asking me to call someone at mgm to see if its coming. I dont think I have any contacts left though, theyre dying out. lol

The Asphalt Jungle is actually a Warner title. Warner owns the pre-1986 MGM library. The current MGM, oddly enough, owns many film libraries but not its own classic library.

I ordered 6 copies of each (a group buy) and you would think at least ONE would have a close to mint slipcover?? Not even close, looks like they got chewed up.

I ordered both along with Futurworld I will have my order today. fingers crossed an animal didn't attack my slips... that sucks you ordered so many and not one is in great condition. I hate buying new when it shows up Used.

I received mine from Best Buy, I ordered from them this time because they had a sale on pre-orders at the time of my purchase.

It was the first time ANY of my Scream Factory slipcovers were perfect, Im probably going to order from them more, especially since someone a few posts back said they price match with Amazon. Sounds Great!

I got my copies from Amazon yesterday. Phantasm 2 was perfectly fine and there weren't any issues with the slipcover. The slipcover for From Beyond didn't have any issues, but the case was broken. The spine was torn and half of the back was falling off. Not sure how that happened. I just replaced the case with a replacement case and now it's fine.

ordered both, arrived yesterday in perfect condition... I've seen posts like yours many times... I don't seem to ever have this problem...

I did the same despite having bought the DVD. But I don't usually double dip like this unless:

1) The Blu-ray is released substantially longer after the DVD AND it's a movie I love, or

2) The Blu-ray is a vast improvement over the DVD. IMO the Stepfather Blu was a marginal improvement over the DVD. Still, I don't regret my decision - this film is all kinds of crazy

Nope... mine arrived in near perfect condition from amazon. They typically do, except when they ship in those cheap bubble mailers instead of cardboard boxes.

Maybe it's just your local USPS carriers?
