Regardless of screencaps that's been uploaded on the internet, I would want to see a blu-ray movie on my HDTV anyway because, that's the TV I'm going to be watching it on 100% of the time, not on everybody else's HDTV.

Mate there are a few on here who have quoted this and that and pretended they have inside knowlege, when the true experts agree without a definitve answer go with what those who were most involved with the film wanted and up to this point this is it....and it looks great.

I think we can all agree that this NOTLD 1990 blu-ray has been tinted blue unlike the untinted theatrical release and the untinted dvd. So the tinting is revisionist film making, and should not have been done. This second point could be argued either way.

Tom Savini is happy? Could someone post a link or a screen capture as I would like to see this for myself?

If Savini is so happy, why did he not respond to my email. Surely if he thought the tinted transfer was good, he would have had no problem emailing me back.

I think he said he was happy with the tinted transfer without having watched the Twilight Time blu-ray.

And don't forget what the other fellow who worked on the film said.

*sigh, it may not show up as blue on YOUR display. but on all 4 displays that I use it IS HEAVILY blue. It's also blue on my buddies projector as well.

Savini saw it after it was all done and basically said "yeah I like it". it was NOT his intention to do this. the DP even said he just made the comment over the phone to Sony and they changed it without his interaction.

Lucas likes his new editions and we all know what a pile of sh!t he's made with his revisions.

You are completely wasting your time here, his eyes are totally different from the rest of ours, this is why I and others have stopped going back and forth with him a long time ago, just answer and you will see lol.

Damn, and now you made him post his picture of his TV screen lol, now we are definitely ALL wrong but him, OH NO!

Frank Prinzi and Eric Campbell both disliked the tinting.

So does anyone have the link or screencapture showing Tom Savini actually wrote that he is happy with the transfer?

A handful my friend. Would you being the expert advocate using screen caps as a true representation of colour accuracy Yes or NO?

Check somewhere between page 100 and 250 of this thread and his facebook reply to someone else asking him his feelings is posted. It was basically a "watched it last night on my Sharp, and it looks great" but was cut and pasted from facebook. Maybe someone pulled an elaborate hoax with photoshop, but it looked and sounded legit.

Your email has little chance of reply cuz he's either on the road at cons, has someone else do his email, or is sick of this whole debate and wants no part or it. Oh yeah, or maybe cuz he's just not the nicest person in the biz.

Rrriiiggghhhttt and I'm not the one quoting people who tend to make broad sweeping "extremist" statements and tend to belittle other people on a routine basis.

I can give the benefit of the doubt that their intent is good but that would mean their message is all wrong.

Riiiiiight - who exactly is doing the belittling here? Those who have eyes see and know. And there you have it.

Because im quite sure he probably gets thousands of emails a day, and i highly doubt hes going to respond directly(one on one)to a fan who thinks this or that concerning all the hoopla surrounding a supposed tint applied to one of his films. He would be more apt to issue a statement to everyone regarding things of that nature.
