In the internet era everybody wants answers. Aliens' characters were also extremely stupid but that's a classic. Just hate the new film.

He states that under his film credits if you scroll down there is a listing for the sequel...
Called: PROMETHEUS 2: PARADISE what's interesting is it has a release date of 2014...and it is already in pre-production..
But what's more interesting is that it also states that filming is scheduled to begin in OCTOBER..

Here is the link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Fassbender

Hope this is true...
It was revised on the 27th. There is no listing for Prometheus 2: Paradise in filmography.

lol.How can they plan a trilogy when they can't even come up with a story to a sequel?

Why do I even care when the first one was such a mess...

No, no, no. Thats not it at all. The characters in Alien were NOT trained scientists like those on Prometheus and did a pretty good job considering their predicament. Prometheus characters, OTOH, seem to do every "teenager slaher flick" stupid move one after another. And these were college educated(probably some PHD level) folks versus worker bee grunts like on the Nostromo.

And, yes, Kane did look into the egg which wasnt the best move. But, he had no reason at that point to avoid the egg. They were just investigating. Fifield and Milburn OTOH just were told by Shaw to "we gotta get the hell outta here" after it was discovered that the goo and other stuff wasnt such a positive thing. IMO, there is a big difference in the surrounding circumstances.

Prometheus is NOT a bad film. It just doesnt measure up to its predecessors and that hurts it. It also has some plot inconsistencies, character motivation problems, and plenty of head scratching moments. Many more than Alien or Aliens.

Overall, the film was a disappointment. It has its moments and like I said, its not terrible or anyhting. It just wasnt as well thought out as it needed to be. Better writing would have helped.

Default Prometheus is not "in trouble"

First of all where is there anything in bloody disgustings article that says that this RUMOR has been backed up with TRUTH no where!! It says ALLEGED not proven

So until FOX or SCOTT says otherwise on the RUMOR let's not give out cookies just yet..

Let's not jump to conclusions besides it's probably some HATER that spread the rumor cause he/she knows that the sequel will rock...

Long story short PROMETHEUS IS NOT "IN TROUBLE" until the STUDIO or SCOTT says otherwise...

You have to admit that there seems to be some hang up on continuing the story. Lindelof is probably the only one who can figure out how to move the story forward. I wonder if he did that on purpose? Maybe he secretly wants to write the screenplay. You can bet that if he does get involved there will be more questions at the end than there were at the beginning.

The other issue is with Ridley. Checking IMDb, he has a lot on his plate in development. He is only listed as Producer on the Prometheus sequel.

If this happens at all, it probably won't make a 2014 release date. It is also less likely that Ridley will direct.

Hello James? James Cameron? Are you out there? We need you. Let's get the Colonial Marines into the mix. Go ahead and throw an Alien Queen in as well. Giger won't mind. I vote for Cameron to direct the sequel. He needs to take a break from working with all those blue Nav'i.

I think we can count Jim Cameron out of any further "Alien Universe" films - up until Avatar, he hasn't done sequels to any of his own films before. I would kill for another Cameron Alien film because he seems to be the only one who can pull it off. As much as I like most of Ridley Scott's films, the pretentiousness of Prometheus was overbearing IMO. And, please, forget about Lindelof. He couldn't pull off the "ultimate Alien" movie when he wrote Prometheus - what makes anyone think he can do it the second time?

As each day passes, I get the feeling more and more that Paradise won't happen and we'll just be left hanging.

Just a feeling.

I really doubt that, look at how much money Prometheus made:

Budget: $130 Million
Box Office: $403 Million

If Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters is getting a sequel, Prometheus is too.

Most jokes are supposed to be funny.

And while, no, I can't prove Prometheus 2 isn't going to happen (which I actually like to happen) I can tell you this. Ridley Scott has a lot going on his plate (The Consultant, his Vatican movie, his Monopoly movie and his definitely going to happen Blade Runner prequel), there isn't a writer on board, even Ridley isn't down to direct. I can just tell by the amount of movie news that I've gone through the years, that this doesn't seem like it's going to happen. At least not for a lengthy amount of time anyway.

lol, I doubt even Lindelof knows how to get himself out of that mess of a story if Lost is any indication.

I'm BEGGING that if they DO go ahead they do a completely new writer

Umm, I forgot that one . Although I gotta say that it's the only exception plus I consider T2 an "expanded" version of T1, kind of what he did with Aliens: took a concept and "expanded" on it. Aliens is practically a remake of Alien, just amped up. Same with Terminator 2.

Default RIK BARNETT has joined the Prometheus 2 cast..

Word is Scott has already started casting for the sequel to Prometheus....And that Scott has met several times with English Actor Rik Barnett (REBELS WITHOUT A CLUE) for a MAJOR ROLE in the sequel it is said that he is could be connected to Elizabeth Shaw. Several sources have confirmed this...Now we have to wait for FOX to make the announcement...
