Point Break is a great 1990s movie!

I felt pretty fortunate to find it for $7.99 at Best Buy back in December. This new $5 price is a good incentive for all to revisit a truly fun flick.

My favorite movie. Keanu was on the Dan Patrick show on Monday and they had a lengthy conversation about Point Break and his career. Good stuff if anyone is interested.

Love this film, just a great piece of early 90s action, I love its style. The first time I ever went into a Subway was after I had seen this film and I was excited about being able to order a meatball sandwich, just like Busey. I only got one though. Loved the appearance by Anthony Kiedis as well.

I have the steelbook and it looks to me to be the same exact transfer/disc content, but I am by no means a professional when it comes to identifying/rating transfers. That's why I come here.

In general I liked the film, I used to have it on laserdisc, I just found the chase scene a bit long. I didn't think people could run like that for that long. I have the same problem in one of the Dirty Harry films.

Gotta admit, I always laugh every time Keanu jumps outta the plane without a parachute. It's just so damn insane. I mean, 80's action heroes did some crazy stuff during that decade, but nothing as crazy as that. It's even more insane when you consider how the tone to Point Break is so much more set in reality when compared to the over the top stuff in 80's action movies. The accompanying music after the jump also adds to the hilarity because to me it sounds like the music from "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" when he's walking around the dark alleys at night trying to find his bicycle.

Yes it's ridiculous in places, but I have to say, it's still one of my favourite movies, especially from the 90s.

TBH, I don't really have too many problems with the transfer on this one. Perhaps I need to rewatch it, but I didn't notice too much wrong with it when I saw it last.

$5.00 at Best Buy right now. Maybe the greatest blu-ray deal in the history of motion pictures. Yes, it's my favorite movie.

Picking it up Tuesday when I go to get The Spectacular Spider-Man. I've seen the tv edit a few times. Never the theatrical cut.

Waiting for the next re-issue which will more than probably have movie cash for the remake (and hopefully the dvd with the extras again). Wish I was joking, but I'm not. It's being remade.

Isn't there 2 versions of POINT BREAK? Are the transfers the same? I actually purchased the Patrick Swayze collection last week, does anyone know which version of POINT BREAK is in that? Regardless, I can't wait to see it again.
