Some of those are placeholders and some have different UPCs than the other entry.

If you add something when the staff is off duty like a weekend when 1000 or more submissions accumulate it may take a while to get-r done. (I don't work X <- )

Is something going on with the website? I've lost about 30 movies from my collection over the past hour or so (number wise). I haven't really seen any of them deleted from my collection, though.

I have a question but didn't want to start a new thread. Is it possible to view a person's profile even if the person never posts or logs in the forum, and only uses his account for submissions for the database?

Deciazulado thanks for the information.

How long does it take for a Theatrical entry to appear. I just added one for You Got Served (2004). I also didn't see the Theatrical entry for Blue Collar Comedy Tour yet.

Deciazulado one more question please.

Can a newly created Theatrical release be linked to an existing DVD link? If so how do you do that.

Thanks

The UK Jack Reacher Steelbook is an Entertainment Store Exclusive. Now ES sell via Play.com which is now a market place not a retailer in it's own right.

So would it be possible to add Entertainment Store to the list of retailers or is it ok to have it listed as Play.com exclusive?

Default Site automatically checks "Watched" when adding titles to collections

This can't only be me, and it has been a recurring issue for as long as I can remember. When I type in a title in the search bar above, and they pop up with the options to "Add to Collection"/"Add to Wishlist" immediately, it automatically checks those titles as "Watched" if I do choose to add them. This is annoying, because it creates extra work to have to go in and manually uncheck the "Watched" box.

Just FYI, that doesn't happen when I go through the long way, by clicking the title, then adding it from its profile page.

I always liked that option since it got rid of that darn "New" icon. It's a fast and simple way to add titles to your account without having to click on the title, click add to collection, set watched options, and then click add.

Since my collection has grown over years or decades I don't need the new icon to show on every title. As far as I've found setting a title as watched is the only way to get rid of the icon.

Nevertheless, a bug is a bug. I get you point, but that has no bearing on whether, or not, the error I'm referring to should be addressed. The "New" icon is there for a reason and shouldn't be artificially removed. Maybe they could just change it to something else that means "Unwatched", without saying "new", since a lot of us have year old titles that we haven't watched yet, and aren't technically new. Or maybe it's not an error or bug, and they designed it like that, but still, "Watched" should not be automatically checked when you add something to your collection if you haven't actually watched it yet.

Understand your point but I'm not so sure it was a bug as it could have been intended and implemented that way for a reason. The way it's currently implemented watched is automatically checked (as you stated) and the watched date is set to nothing. The reason why I say that is because you can still click on the title in the search drop down bar and it will take you to the product page where you can click on the Add to Collection button which serves the function of setting the watched fields.

Maybe an option under Site Preferences would be best so that a user can determine how this feature works for them.

EDIT: I always liked this "quick add" feature and have been thinking it would be nice to have a quick add button or icon on the rest of the site. For example, there may be a lot of missing titles (Blu-ray, DVD, UV, etc) that have to be submitted. A lot of times all of those contributions are approved around the same time. Once they're approved you can go to the recently listed page to see all of the recently approved options. However, if you click on Add it takes you to the Add to Collection page where items must be set and then once you hit submit it takes you to your collection page. Thus I have to hit the back button twice and rise and repeat for every title.

It would be great it there was a quick add feature where it would add the title to your collection rather than leaving the current page. Now, the current search bar feature does this but I don't necessarily remember all of the titles I submitted plus the title may be listed far down the page which causes you to have to scroll up and down the page to find the next title and then type it into the search bar if you want to use that feature.

I would also like to see a quick add option where you can add a title to other categories of your collection. Right now the add to collection button adds it to your owned category. I would like to also see a quick add option to add titles to my Ordered category. This is where small picture buttons or icons would come in handy and cut down on the screen real estate especially if you have several quick add buttons implemented (i.e. ordered, owned, wishlist, etc).
