Iceman, u understand correctly...optical=no uncompressed audio. And yes, I believe you have to stick w/the bitstream if you are running optical out of the PS3....sorry, guess ya need to talk the wife into a new rcvr...I gotta tell ya...uncompressed/lossless is AWESOME!
