As everyone said before me ... Sunny is really a treat. Loved it from start to finish ... also saw it at least 3 times now. Just wonderful.
I think i got into Korean cinema mainly through my interest in Gangster movies ... Bittersweet Life and Shiri were the first i saw if i remember correctly. "A Bittersweet Life" pretty much blew me away and i loved this movie ever since. It's also one of my all-time fav. flicks. I think the unique style of korean action cinema is what fascinates me ... it's like a perfect mix of Alain Delon "Le Samurai", Michael Caines "Get Carter" and Bruce Willis in "Die Hard". |

Korea release, the price is very high for me. If possible, I want to buy the US release. But the question is When? as you said... I've not seen the movie yet but I love the artwork on the cover like KR release did. I hope US release will not fail me with lousy artwork one. |

I would consider myself a moderate Kim Ki-duk fan, The Isle is one of my favorite movies and Bad Guy is really his only movie that I didn't care for before seeing Pieta. With that said, Pieta was sort of a let down for me, it didn't have the feel of a Kim Ki-duk movie that I was use to. Maybe that's good for others, or I had the wrong expectations which affected my view, but it seems like a movie I could easily forget and not really care to revisit in the future.

I actually love the sadistic element of Oldboy, and i will love it in Pieta, too. The more wrong, depraved and immoral, the more exciting it gets for me...lol |

![]() The acting was terrific in both Oldboy and Pieta ... but those movies just didn't do it for me ... as much as i love korean cinema. |

I liked A Moment To Remember, until the last 30 minutes. The unnecessary, drawn out, tear jerking ending was too much for me. Great acting and chemistry between the two leads, though.
