The Chaser is great! Where'd you get it? Hopefully it has English subtitles and wasn't too expensive.

Had bought much of anything since Black Friday, so I treated myself with the latest GoHastings 40% off sale and a good deal on the HD DVD set.

^ Nice haul! Loved the National Treasure movies (reminds me I need to grab em on blu ray), but hated Immortals.

Got this used from a seller on Amazon for $7.98 ($5.00 + $2.98 for shipping). It includes both discs.

How bad was Immortals? I was hooked on the trailer the first time I saw it, but it's a blind buy besides that.

Just arrived from BBY, used the $10 Spring Bonus Cert and another $5 cert to get it down to $11.99!

I went to my local FYE today and traded in a bunch of duplicate blu's. I picked up a copy of Lincoln used and noticed it was $9.94. I read the sticker and it was mislabeled 'The Lincoln Lawyer". They clerk honored the deal and on top of that if you buy 3 used you get 30% off. So Lincoln wound up being around $6. On top of all this I still have $5 in store credit. BOOM.

Did anybody buy Like Crazy when it was re-released? I'm trying to see if it has a quality case or an eco-case like the first release. Thanks!

Really bad. Incredibly inaccurate, slow, unexciting and overall a big fat blah. And this is coming from a huge greek myth nerd. I can watch Troy and 300 a million times.

Wow. Glad I only spent a 10 spot on it. I hope I enjoy it more than you did.

I fear I've made Stitches sound a lot better than it is. It's fairly bottom-of-the-barrel stuff really. Very surprised to see it on Blu-Ray to be honest.

Anyhoo, my purchases from the past week or so -

blurays01.jpg
blurays02.jpg

Broken Embraces I got from GoldenDiscs. The slip-cover is pretty beat-up - probably been banging around the shelves since it came out. I watched it tonight and was mightily impressed and moved. Very possibly my favourite Almodovar that I've seen.

Last week I picked up a box-set of the Christopher Reeve Superman film series. I've been working my way through re-watching them since, having a great time. Unfortunately the set doesn't include the longer cuts of I & II. I saw this extended version of Superman the Movie in CEX for a fiver and thought I'd get it. I'll probably pick up the Donner cut of Superman II at some point.

Two-Lane Blacktop arrived today from Amazon. I've started collecting these Masters of Cinema steelbooks ever since I managed to find Metropolis for a decent price recently. Figured I may as well get the full set since they're all really interesting films I might not get to otherwise, and the presentation, extras and packaging are all top-notch. Cheap, too.

This finally came. I'm starting to think my Best Buy doesn't carry exclusives anymore. No ZDT steelbooks, no LM steelbooks, no nothing. I hate having to shop ebay, but I guess it's a last resort.

It was only $30 shipped.
