I have this one and it rocks! It is a little on large so make sure you check the specs and have room for it. It is also a few $$ over your budget so not sure how that will work out for you... but I love this thing! ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.svsound.com/products-sub-box-10nsd.cfm From thier site:
I actually just purchased the klipsch quintet series II speakers for my bedroom... I got this sub to use with them http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=300-633 ![]() It's $131.80 (plus shipping) so its pretty cheap - which was what I was looking for. Got it hooked up and am overall pleased with it. It is a little boomy for my tastes, but it does the job of filling out the lower end. Again, it depends on what end of your budget you want to be on! Good Luck Last edited by gmrankin; 03-23-2008 at 04:08 PM. |

SVS makes great subs...the one he said above runs $429 on their site...You really can't go wrong with a SVS sub...And you said you heard bad things about the Klipsch sub, but have YOU listened to it??? If you like the sound and it fits your budget then you should get it...I would go with the SVS sub...but totally up to YOU!!! Good luck with the search!!!

I may be wasiting time here, but I bought mine from Bestbuy for $369 each. When I asked the person helping me, who happen to be a manager can I have $100 off he said sure as if it was NOOOOO problem. I thought it was a joke for a moment, but then I told him for that price can I have 2? |

I have the KSW-10 by Klipsch, and it sucks big time. Muddy, rumbly bass. Plus it's known for blowing fuses, and I've blown two in five years. Get the SVS PB10 for $429, or best bang for you buck Bic H-100 for $249 shipped. SVS is by far the better sub, but for the money, you can't go wrong with the Bic. Check AVS Forum (subforum subwoofers) to see all the great reviews. Just don't read the ones reviewing $1600 subwoofers

If they can hit 20Hz, I don't think you're going to match that with anything else in that price range. Even the $399 VTF-1 only claims 25Hz. |

In short, very nice tone - great for music. This is to be expected as it is a 10" paper cone. But for movies it falls a bit short even though it's a good all around performer. If you can get it for $200 then its a good deal. But if you have budgeted $400, then you really dont have a choice but to get the SVS!!! If you are like me and use your home theater for about 90% movies and gaming then I strongly suggest the SVS. |
