Default Movie Characters You Admire the Most

I have considered this question for a while.

I am not talking about favorite ACTOR. I am talking about the way an actor portrayed a role that you connected with.

Sometimes a character is played so well by the actor that you feel like you connect with that player (not real person).

Are there any portrayals of a character that you connected with?

I don't know what it is. Something about him just connects...

[Show spoiler]

It's hard to say because there are tons of characters that speak to the inner part of me. Some I identify with most:

Joel - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Truman Burbank - The Truman Show

King George VI - The King's Speech (childhood stutter)

Salvatore - Cinema Paradiso

Adam - 50/50

Bob/Charlotte - Lost in Translation

Ben Carson - Gifted Hands (I don't like how political he has become IRL)

Anything Ingmar Bergman made has a way of speaking right to my soul

When I almost first posted, this is stemmed from my admiration of the character Elise in The Adjustment Bureau. Not Blunt...Elise

My favorite character is the Driver from Drive because of how he likes to keep to himself and not talk a lot.

You get the sense that he really wanted to be alone until he meets Irene and there's something beautifully romantic about that.

I also really love Donnie Darko's character. One of the best teen performances ever IMO. Gyllenhaal really knows what to do when the camera is rolling.

Tom in (500) Days of Summer.

The expectations/reality scene in (500) Days of Summer is probably the scene that's touched me the most out of every single movie I've seen. It was so well done and just brutally honest. If you've ever been in love or have had a girlfriend... this scene hit you like a pile of bricks.
