I came across a book by a very Christan woman who said Die Hard was about John McClaine suffering for masculinity (I know the film was about John reclaiming his masculinity, but this lady read it as him actually being tortured for all of men's wrong doings).
![]() You also have the crazy Alien theory from Punch Drunk Love, where Emily Watson is in fact an extra terrestrial sent down from space to try and learn from humans. That's completely bonkers, but was actually going to be some Sci-fi set pieces in the film, that were thrown away at the planning stages of the film. Then you've got Ferris Bueller's Day Off mixed with Fight Club, where Ferris Bueller and his girlfriend is actually a figment of Cameron's imagination, being everything Cameron isn't (fun and popular, which explains all the larger than life stuff around Ferris Bueller) and in the end allowing him to come to terms to stand up to his Dad, so he leaves the two of them to get their happy ending. |
