Default Creating Bluray Audio Demo Disc - Questions

Hey Bluray.com members! I would like to make a High Def audio demo disc using end credit audio exclusively. I have been successful in making a Bluray demo disc with both High Def video and audio (output as individual .m2ts files) and then authored.

My next project is to see if I can create an audio only High Def demo disc (BD25 with DTS-MA and TrueHD formatted audio). My questions are:
What extension should the end file be for each clip when I strip out the video and trim down the file to just be the end credits ?
Do I need it to be an m2ts file or is that specific to audio and video?

Please share your thoughts or include you own questions you may have for my process. I'd like to avoid having 7+ minutes of video for each clip if I don't have to, as that will obviously take up much more disc space per file.

I was told by a friend of mine (video compressionist for Deluxe) that the audio needs to be muxed with video as an .m2ts file, as the disc cannot be authored otherwise.

My intention is to find out the duration of the each end credit and then make a Super Black video of the same duration running at 23.976 with a resolution of 1920x1080 and compressed as an MP4 with the H.264 codec.

Here's to hoping this works!

There are different alternatives on how to implement an audio only Blu-ray, for most authoring BD programs you would have to include (muxed) some type of video, this can be any type supported by the Bluray standards.

Scenarist included a graphic decoder to create a video stream from any graphics where the user can choose the duration of it. This way you can demuxed the audio and video from the source and then the audio will get remuxed to the video during authoring.

I believe you could even do this with MultiAVCHD (free), where you input the separate audio and the authoring software does the rest.

The size of the video would be dependent of the bitrate you choose for the video or blank/black video for the the background. If you using a blank/black background, since is just black you can choose a very low bitrate that would occupy or create very little space.
