I got my new power supply a little while ago, and while it's not exactly the model I ordered, it seems to be working! Places around town were wanting $60 for a power supply, but I got this one for $5.99.

Yo. I just got done watching The Dark Knight Rises. Not really a fan. But if one's a fan of action films (im not) that's definitely a film too see.

Not an action fan?! I thought all guys were action fans. So you like to watch movies where stuff doesn't blow up?

I really liked TDKR, but I wasn't blown away by it. I think after the first two movies, it would've been nearly impossible to live up to all of the hype.

Well im learning too like Action movies much more than i did in the past. I really like many of Jason Statham's films and those i guess are just as braindead lol.

My primary movie interests are Sci-fi and Horror but since not many good films are created anymore (imo.) i use action films too fill up the boredom.

About the only Jason Statham movie I am familiar with is Snatch which I really like.

My primary interests are Sci-Fi and Horror also. Although The Lord of the Rings is one of my absolute favorites, I wouldn't necessarily say that fantasy in general is one of my main categories. I do like a good bit of superhero films, which I would say are usually action filled. I also really love all of the Indiana Jones movies, which I guess would be action/adventure.

Here's a list of some of my absolute favorite blu-rays that I own:

Alien/Aliens/Prometheus (Alien is my favorite, I like to pretend 3 & 4 don't exist)
The Avengers/Iron Man (The two best Marvel movies out of the bunch imo)
Close Encounters
Game of Thrones (My favorite tv show)
Indiana Jones (All)
The Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit
Predator
The Shining (Probably my all time favorite film)
Star Trek ('09)
Star Wars (All)
Super 8
[Show spoiler]This movie really speaks to me. The kid's name is Joe(same as mine), his dad is a stern, emotionally awkward, yet well meaning father named Jack(exact same as my dad including the name), and he lost his mom but has that locket of her(same as me). I grew up during the time frame of this movie with kids just like his friends, and the music in the film reminds me of that time period, plus it has almost that same vibe as a lot of the movies that I grew up with had. It's almost eerie to me how this movie relates to my life on so many levels, plus it has great A/V and a space monster.

The Terminator (All 4, but 1 & 2 are obviously superior)
The Thing ('82)
Watchmen

Good afternoon Joe, To answer your question from last night, since I did sign off when you told me it was 11PM, I do have the entire weekend off. Will you be getting a chance sometime today to watch the Eagles concert?

Goodfellas is a great movie, but I refuse to buy it without HD audio. A friend of mine brought the Samsara BD over a few weeks ago. Amazing A/V presentation. Some of the best video I have ever seen.

Glad to hear it! So do I! I haven't had two days off together in almost a month. I have my weekend all planned out: I'm about to eat some dinner, then I'm going to head into my HT room to watch The Eagles BD and possibly a few more while catching a really nice buzz, then I'll probably come on here later tonight and posts some drunken gibberish that I won't remember and be embarrassed about tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll be nursing my hangover and watching some movies. Hope you enjoy your weekend too Al!

You're welcome Joe.

Just watched Thor for the second time and it's actually better this time around. Properly has too do with the lowered expectations.

I was pretty disappointed with it the first time too, but the second and third times I found it more enjoyable. I like all of the Marvel movies, but if I had to put them in order of my favorites, it would be very close between The Avengers and Iron Man, next would probably be Iron Man 2 followed by The Incredible Hulk, and Thor and Captain America are probably tied for last place, even though I do like them too.

A full LOTR marathon here these last few days. I'll dream of the shire tonight.

Those extended editions are long though. Lots of scenes i don't remember ever seeing.

One question though. Why did Frodo had to go in the end of the movie? Did he have a hard time staying at the shire after all that he went through (restless)? And where did the boat sail to..new adventures?

I really need too see "The Hobbit" now. As soon as my mum gets home from Turkey we'll have too get that job done. Hopefully there'll be a bit more about Smeagol in the latest one.
