I agree that some of the titles don't fit the comic book art style. I preordered Shaun, Hot Fuzz, Paul, Hellboy II, Scott Pilgrim, and Serenity as they all involve some form of action/comic/sci fi connection. I'd go for Incredible Hulk as well but then I'd just be upset I didn't have matching versions of the other Marvel movies lol.

I'm 99% positive it won't be a Steelbook, I just can't justify spending double the price ($28 vs. $14 for the 2-pack) on those two movies. I like them, but not enough to spend $28 on them. Only reason I'm doing so on the Riddick movies is I don't already have them, I like the artwork, I haven't found a decent sale on both movies yet ($20 vs. $28 isn't that much difference given the better artwork and the Steelbook format), and I want to own the movies.

It's definitely a great deal...I'm just wondering though as I see Dante's Peak/Daylight(Universal), but that lists at $10.49. I wonder why this one is $13.99?

Meanwhile, Universal has set a number of their catalog BD titles for re-release in “comic book-style” Steelbook packaging on 6/25, including The Big Lebowski, The Chronicles of Riddick, Death Race, Doom, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Hot Fuzz, The Hulk, The Incredible Hulk, The Mummy (1999), Paul, Pitch Black, Scarface, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Serenity, Shaun of the Dead and Van Helsing.

I can't take all the artworks seriously when they all have that "Comic cartoonish" feel to it. I mean it works for Hellboy II, Incredible Hulk, Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim etc but I just can't take The Mummy, Serenity or Pitch Black seriously. I can't imagine King Kong or Children of Men if there was one, it'll just look horrendous in comic artwork form.

If most of them had regular artwork it would've been a delight for me. Otherwise, I'll pass.

I did pre-order 3 of these steelbooks, but im kinda not diggin the similarity between all these new steelbooks. They all look the same, save for the titles.

In for Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Paul.
It seems like US is getting lotta steelbooks lately.
Hope that trend continues.

I really hope all of these are matte steelbooks. I love the look of most of these. I've pre-ordered ones that I thought were really great looking and for favorites of mine... hopefully the price goes down even more, but the current pre-order prices are pretty good.

I am especially pleased with the release of all three Edgar Wright films: Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Paul would look excellent with them as well.

I personally like them since we never got the slipcovers that the UK and the rest of the world got. What would be awesome is if they had slipcover on top of SB's.

Actually you are right. Even buying the whole set wouldn't make them cool.
