Good call, Zbinks. I thought so but didn't have the patience to find that post again. Thanks again. Updating now!

I remember there was some recall with the "Swamp Thing" DVD, something about them releasing the uncut version and labeling it PG? I could be off a bit on this, but if somebody could confirm anything please do. Also if there was two versions which one will we get from Scream?

I was just thinking about a movie I would love Scream to get ahold of...

It's a bit more sci-fi than the rest of their catalog. But is firmly in the horror category.

If I order a blu-ray directly from Shout!, do they ship it in a cardboard mailer or bubble envelope?

Does it really matter that the US version is Craven's intended cut? I mean, more nudity is always better than less nudity--especially in the case of something as mediocre as Swamp Thing. Baffling legal reasons aside, it's a shame that Shout couldn't "spice up" the movie for blu-ray.

I suppose if youve grown up with the extended cut like here in the uk then its a bit of a letdown, though for me not a deal breaker.ill wait awhile to see if Arrow announce it,if not ill get the SF release eventually.

There's nothing "baffling" about it. The Euro version had some footage in it that was produced for overseas markets. They knew it when they shot it and that's it. That's the reason MGM pulled the U.S. DVD that erroneously had the Euro version on it, and the same reason Shout can't release it here. The U.S. release isn't "cut," it's the version Craven intended for the American market (don't think he was making a PG-rated comic book flick for kids with topless women running around), and his "intended" version of the film.

If someone overseas wants to release their own Blu-Ray of the international version, they can. I'd check that out too, though the film itself is kind of terrible honestly.

I can see this making sense in the 70's and 80's but in 2013 anyone can find those pictures in a matter of seconds doing a simple google search, so for Adrienne Barbeau trying to protect her modesty from family and friends in this day and age is impossible.

Nicely muted and subdued, as I had hoped! Their best new cover yet, with the upper and lower halves effectively combined, although JLC's face seems a bit flat, to me at least. Hurray for no floating heads!
