You mean in the very beginning of the movie? Clearly, it's been some time since I've seen that and am overdue another viewing.

The proportions of Tom Atkins and Jamie lee Curtis' faces look way off...

Yes the movie shows her boobies early on ...

If they felt it would've been appropriate, they would've left the additional scenes in the movie. The fact that they took them out is evidence that they weren't deemed appropriate for the intended audience.

Seriously. It's an American company releasing the American cut of an American film to an American audience. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to expect that the international cut would be released. People need to get over it.

I keep getting Swamp Thing and The Toxic Avenger confused... I've somehow managed to never actually see either film, but I'm leaning toward a blind buy on Swamp Thing when it comes out. It just seems like a fun movie.

Sixteen Candles is PG (thank you 1984 ) and I'm sure the shower scene near the beginning of the film would scar today's youth horribly!

Andromeda also has a scene toward the end of the movie where she's getting out of the bathtub.

That's the scene I was thinking about, but I thought she was obscured by curtains? Again it's been quite awhile since I've seen this movie...the first viewing was in the only theatre on Ramstein AFB back in '82.

Hmmm...

"From the Scream Factory Facebook:

***EXCLUSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT! "SWAMP THING" RISES AT SCREAM FACTORY!***

Surprise! Wes Craven's 1982 Cult Comic Book Classic SWAMP THING (starring horror fan favorite Adrienne Barbeau) will be arriving this summer on Blu-ray for the first time!

As always, we are planning to provide as many bells and whistles as we can on this release, but we felt it was important to tell you early on that we will only be able to present the 91 minute U.S. cut of the film (the same version MGM has released on DVD since '05) and not the 93 minute "unrated" international version as we had originally hoped for. This is due to legal issues that are out of our control and we hope you understand.

Stay tuned for more specific details – including exact street date - that will be revealed in the next 2-3 months!"

Shout Factory had hoped to release the international cut, and felt it was important to note that they couldn't. How then, exactly, did you come to the conclusion that there was "no reason for anyone to expect that the international cut would be released" when Shout Factory thought the complete opposite?

It's an American company, releasing the American cut of an American film to an American audience. And yet people are complaining that it's not the international version. I fail to see the logic.

Especially since it's two minutes of nothing. I don't see why people are so worked up on two measely minutes not being included.

Thinking no one else listened to the whole podcast. I was surprised I was the first to report on it.

I kind of got the impression that they didn't have HD masters.

Bear in mind, that was before I listened to the podcast but cool, I'm rather curious about the films. Schizoid has Christopher Lloyd anyway so being a fan of his, I'm in.

It comes during the final few minutes when Jeff's running down the list of upcoming releases.

He doesn't mention a specific date, but he mentioned it after the August releases, so I would imagine September.

Also says some "really big ones" will be announced next month.
