This is actually 4.0 Quad, although Mike finally did release the 2009 remaster in 24/48 .flac digital download as the DVD-Video version on the CD+DVD SKU is lossy 448 Kbps Dolby Digital, a huge disappointment to many surround sound fans.

I love the 2009 5.1 mix, but I also love the SACD. I got mine for $35CDN at a record show @ 2009, steal. I listed it for $300 on Amazon Canada as I wouldn't stand in the way of someone wanting to pay that much for it as I'd be in idiot, but I hope no-one ever actually buys it, lol. The Quad mix is so smooth and true to the original.

Hopefully Mike releases deluxe Blu-ray editions of the first four albums and includes the original quad mixes remastered as well as the original stereo and remastered stereo and 5.1 mixes. I'd be in on all of them. Looking forward to Crises and Five Miles Out which are currently being mixed into 5.1 by Mike.

That is a really nice list. The only argument you might get from me is on that Cat Stevens SACD. I wasn't that happy with its sound, though I am no expert on the album.

Got it from Metallica's web site for $18.99, they have evidently pressed some new discs. Shipping was high but still about $30 total which was less than I had seen elsewhere. Well worth it IMO.

After picking up Deep Purples Machine Head SACD a while back I have to add it to my favorites list. It really is a great album with a very enjoyable mix. I couldn't bring myself to drop Metallica's Black Album from my list so I expanded it to eleven.
