The Japanese version is not region locked and has the best PQ.

Although in fairness, the German release is region free, almost as good and a lot cheaper :-)
All versions are struck from the same master but the Jap version has the highest bit rate.
Annoyingly the only version with subs for the loud bar screen is the Australian version which is region B locked.
