Lonesome Road was OK. It was a bit too linear if you ask me.

I actually like Operation Anchorage quite a bit, too. If ONLY for the awesome armor you got.

Dead Money could have been REALLY great if not for the bad gameplay decisions.

Ya, the armor you received from Op Anchorage was good & I used it for awhile. Dead Money was cool too but it was kind of here & there with flow of the story. However, I believed Honest Hearts to be better than Dead Money though.

'Fallout 4' announcement imminent from Bethesda, Xbox 720 & PS4 bound

Quote:
The "Fallout" franchise has been quiet since its last installment, but now it looks like Bethesda could be readying itself for an announcement regarding "Fallout 4."

According to a report from VG24/7 today, ThreeDog voice actor Erik Todd Dellums has been provoking the rumor of a fourth "Fallout" via his twitter feed.

Dellums started things off by teasing, "To all of my Fallout 3 and ThreeDog fans: There may be more of the Dog coming! Fingers crossed!"

Dellums then sent a reply tweet to a follower saying, "How was that for a tease! I was given permission to release that tease, so fingers crossed!"

The person who tweeted Dellums sent another reply to him, "@ETDellums I know you can't say but I can state the obvious.. either 3 Dog in the fallout sequel or 3 dog in Fallout Movie."

All signs certainly seem to be pointing at another "Fallout" title, which would be the first installment since "Fallout: New Vegas" landed back in 2010.

Assuming this is for "Fallout 4," this also definitely implies that the game will be a next-generation title, making the already large list of games expected for the Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4 even longer.
Fallout 4 News Update: Voice Actor Hints Return of Three Dog, Boston Setting Rumored

Quote:
Rumors suggest that Bethesda began work on Fallout 4 following the launch of the latest Elder Scrolls installment. The developer's past three games have released on a two-to-three year cycle. Oblivion debuted in 2006, followed by Fallout 3 in 2008 and Skyrim in 2011. We are about due for a new game between Fall 2013 and Spring 2014.
While details are sparse, Fallout 4 will reportedly take place in Boston, according to IGN. So far, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Maryland, and Washington D.C. have served as settings for the series.
It is unclear whether or not Fallout 4 will be a next-gen title, but it's hard to believe that Bethesda would pass up the tremendous installed base of Xbox 360 and PS3 players. If the game in fact launches on new hardware, expect current-gen versions to reach players as well.
Nothing new really but my news ticker popped these articles up earlier today...so close.

This trailer is fan made & is almost two years old now. As much as I would love the setting of the next Fallout on the West coast. Boston is more than likely were this new one will be.

Yeah, that was what I was going to say too. Lonesome Road was SUPER linear. Even the world map was pretty much a straight shot across.

Dead Money was pretty good too although it was a bit dark.

Fallout 4 would be my next blind limited edition preorder... the last was NV

I hope they can build it around some slick engine and not screw it up with a multiplayer (though, co op would be great).

I'd be surprised if Fallout 4 wasn't built using the Creation Engine.

This is most likely.

I just WISH they would use id tech 5, the engine that powered Rage.

That was one of the best looking games AND ran incredibly smooth on the 360 and PS3.

The Creation engine is a modified version of the Gamebryo engine and I think of one thing when I think of the Gamebry engine:

BUGS.

The problem is that there is nothing inherently buggy about Gamebryo. It was Bethesda's application of that engine that isn't very good. Considering id doesn't want to be in the tech support business anymore, chances are if Bethesda used id Tech the results wouldn't be any better.

I was hoping something about this would get announced at the GDC.

Sigh, no.

Apologies to those who open this thread and expect to learn something meaningful.

That was posted today Merrick! I just finished reading aboot it & came here! Anyways, here's some more news that is connected to your post.

Fallout 4 Rumors: Bethesda No Longer Working on Skyrim DLC, Could Be Focused On Fallout

Quote:
Bethesda has announced that the company is moving on to new projects, ending its DLC support for their last game, Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, leaving the studio open to begin the rumored Fallout 4. Speaking on the Bethesda Blog, the company has declared that while Skyrim may receive some minor updates, the game will no longer get DLC updates due to the company moving forward on their next big project.

"For the last year and a half we've been working on new content for Skyrim; from the game updates, Creation Kit, Steam Workshop, Kinect support, to DLCs. Parts of our team have also been in pre-production on our next major project, and that game is at the point where it requires the studio's full attention to make it our biggest and best work yet. Even though we're moving on, we'll still have minor updates to Skyrim as needed. We've invested so much of ourselves into Skyrim and will never truly say goodbye to it," the company stated.

The company did not mention what the upcoming project will be, but many are assuming that the game will be Fallout 4. As previously reported, Bethesda has hinted that the company is planning to have a very big 2013, and a sequel to the beloved Fallout 3 would certainly qualify as big news, especially considering that Fallout: New Vegas, created by Obsidian and not Bethesda, was met with rather lukewarm responses from critics and gamers.
In the meantime, if Bethesda does not follow up Skyrim with another Fallout title, they certainly have several other big titles to develop and continue with. Dishonored is slated to receive more DLC in the near future, and the company is slated to release Elder Scrolls Online sometime later this year. We shall see if Bethesda announces Fallout 4 as their next title, or if these rumors are false as time goes on.

It is Fallout 4. It may not be called Fallout 4 but it is the next Fallout game. Not calling it Fallout 4 makes Peter Hines twitter technically not a lie.

Not too long ago the Mr Galaxy News Radio all but announced that he had reprised his Fallout 3 role and then there is this.

Ya, I agree. I really do hope we can see the next Fallout by Fall 2014.
