Crap, Amazon only offered me 20% off my Army of Shadows purchase due to the packaging and missing sticker. Wonder how easyblu got 50%?

I'm not positive what the correct coloring is supposed to look like, but it sure doesn't look as bright as Amazon.com's picture.
My copy of Army of Shadows is a lot darker than it looks on website photos. I just sort of shrugged it off when I received it from Amazon back in December. It's a cool look for the Blu-ray.

Amazon has been packaging a lot of items together for me lately, although I ordered them separately.

I think it's a sign that I've spent too much time on the Criterion thread when random sights during the day make me think of this thread.

[Show spoiler]

(I saw this online, so it's not my photo, but it's pretty funny that I thought about this Criterion thread before anything else.)

Either you spend too much time in the thread or OilJunior is on your mind too much

The avatar, anyway. There are actually about a dozen people on this website with Taylor Swift avatars. It's uncanny, but I'm not complaining.

Sorry, but when I clicked on those links I had to laugh...

Those are repackages from them due to the originals they sent out having damaged cases. This is what happens when people complain about a case being damaged, scratched, etc.. This is what they do because they do not have the official Scanavo cases to repackage them in. That is also why you didn't get a booklet

You better return that right away, because you got screwed..

So what's the sealing deal? My copy of LMP was rewrapped, and I believe my copy of Chungking was the same. Never thought to complain about that one.

Got around to Repo Man last night and I really enjoyed it. Making my way through the supplements now. I think this should be the standard for Criterion. After a few recent releases (Badlands, The Blob) disappointed on the supplement front, this is a great packaging.

I just got offered 25 percent by Leon Morin but stated that I "knew" someone who got 50. We'll see how it goes

Today is a big day for me, because I get to see Terrence Malick's To The Wonder at a local theater. I'll come back here with my thoughts, of course.

It's worth noting that, once the two trucks split up, they never got back together again.

If you say Taylor Swift in front of a mirror three times she will suddenly appear & break up with you

Thanks for the feedback! I probably wouldn't have given the cover art a second thought if I wouldn't have first been suspicious of a re-shrink wrapping job. Your feedback puts me at ease (... especially for an item that is OOP).

I received a response from Amazon regarding all of this. They offered to give me a 30% refund for both blurays. To me, that's more than fair. They also said I could return Leon Morin, Priest for a replacement if I like, as they have more of that title in stock. I opted to keep what I have. I'm content.

So you guys are getting discounts because of a missing blue criterion sticker but no actual damage? I could care less about the sticker or even if it was
potentially rewrapped as long as it is in new condition.

My copy of Leon Morin had a hole punched through the back of the case and the disc was loose. I opened it and the disc is not scratched or damaged at all. The case has a hole through the back in the top left in the indented area around the disc holder. Whatever hit it tore the outer case plastic and the cover art and I'm betting knocked the disc off the hub.

Looks like many went out damaged by the looks of the used copies sold by Amazon's Warehouse Deals. I'd like to exchange it but think it probably isn't worth it, the rest of the case and front cover art is fine, the disc is fine and the spine is fine which is all I ever see on the shelf.

I get it next week!

I did see Oblivion last night, interesting story, amazing visuals, unique art style and M83's score was epic on an IMAX mix. It was soooo nice to see a 2D IMAX film.
