Same here. I've never had a problem with avg and i've been using it for over 2 years now.

Another vote for AVG, its free and it works very well. I ahve been using it for a long itme and never ran into an issue. As always though, if you do ahve an infection you should use multiple services (TendMicro has a free web service as well). I usually recommend scanning with more then 1 AV though, as you may miss something with only 1.
