Yeah I understand them but those stats does not matter anymore since he allowed Ted Ginn Jr to get a touchdown which proves that Revis sucks

What a shocker.

If the Ravens have any dignity, they'll cut this chump before he even gets to explain himself. He doesn't deserve another chance in the NFL.

Guarantee he ends up in prison or dead within 5 years.

There isn't 1 team that wouldn't have wanted Revis in his prime before the injury, and the only reason that the Jets had only 1 taker was because of the injury. Had Revis not been injured I guarantee you he would have gone for 2 first's, a 2nd and a 4th.
Stevie Johnson owns Revis.. I still think Nnamdi was better pre Eagles than Revis was pre injury.. and I'm not being biased because I'm a Raiders fan.. Revis is good but he had a great defense when he had those great years! Revis shined when the Jets D brought them to the AFC Championship. Revis relies heavily on the front seven getting pressure though a complicated 3-4 blitz scheme. Asomugha never has to rely on his D because Oakland hasn't had a great D in years. Asomugha is a absolute beast and he'll keep his man to a minimum regardless if his defense is good or not. Asomugha is the definition of a shut-down CB. Revis benefits greatly from the 3-4 blitz scheme Ryan implemented in NY. Anyways if Revis didn't play in NY their would be half the talk about him; and that's a fact! how about this for a stat! Revis' was thrown at a106 times and Asomugha thrown at only 28 times during his 2009 campaign, now that's what you would call "shutdown".. 2009 was Revis's best year as a Pro, but imagine if quarterbacks actually threw to Aso? the possibilities would have been endless.. 28 times all season!!!! That is a definition of a shut-down corner! Now I'm not saying Revis is horrible, he is a great player my good friend played with him at Pitt for 4 years and I use to watch him play in College.. and no way pre injury would Revis be able to get traded for 2 first round picks a 2nd and a 4th.. that's crazy talk and had to take you serious after a statement like that, I will just assume you were elaborating

also don't act like you don't remember this play! Revis got so embarrassed by Moss, then faked a injury to cover up the humiliation

Ok so it is obvious you are immature and want to ignore the facts presented to you. I tried to give you the opportunity to defend yourself and you blew it. The last guy that pulled this crap you are pulling is no longer here anymore, so please do us and yourself a favor as it is obvious you are just trying to wind up people because you think its funny or something.

I could have respected facts, I could have even respected an argument about his contract holdout and him being arrogant and you not liking him personally. But an argument that he was beaten by the number 1 receiver on the Dolphins in 09 is absolutely asinine.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Ravens cut him, although they may wait until after the draft. I'm sure when they signed him they told him that if he screwed up at all he was out, and it took him less than a month. It's also a very likely that McClain is going to be suspended to start the season. McClain has a ton of talent but he's shown he can't be counted on.

He wasn't though as far as I can remember he was a quite captain on the team who just destroyed people on the field.

Randy Moss one-handed TD catch against Darrelle Revis - YouTube
Stevie Johnson has averaged 3.6 receptions, 47 yards and 0.6 TD's when Revis has played in the same game. Not exactly ownage....

As for Nnamdi, how can you compare? First he only lined up on one side of the field and played against whatever receiver was on that side. This means he never had to face the best receiver every single snap. Revis would shadow and take out the best receiver. So if I was a team, and I had my WR1 against another CB of course I would throw away from Nnamdi. Also you like to claim that the Jets had this magical pass rush. Can you tell me who was the leading sack leader each of those Ryan years pre-ACL? Well, I'll tell you:

Pace w/ 8 sacks in 2009
Bryan Thomas w/ 6 sacks in 2010
Aaron freaking Maybin w/ 6 sacks in 2011
Quinton Coples w/ 5.5 sacks in 2012

Not exactly Demarcus Ware, Allen, Strahan, or White on those teams . Also this talk of a complicated 3-4 blitz scheme. It is predicated on Revis holding his man. The whole defense was directly based around Revis. Sorry man. Revis is the best and will go down as a better corner than Nnamdi. Also, Nnamdi has played much longer than Revis yet has less All-Pro seasons and Pro Bowls. I wonder why that is.

Would be awesome for the jets if they went like 4-12.
That would mean in 2014 draft they would have:
- their own top 3 pick in each round
- bucs 3rd rounder
- probably about 4 compensatory picks from all their free agent loses.

Johnny football in NYC.

& with next year seeming to be a great QB draft too they could really clean up.

Stevie Johnson in 2011 during their first showdown had 8 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown, with Revis covering him all game..

okay back to the topic; did you really just mention the "pro-bowl"? probably the biggest joke in all of professional sports.. come on dude! Revis went to the Pro Bowl in 2010; do you know what his stats were? ill tell you 13 games played 26 tackles 10 pass defended 2 Fumble Recoveries.. hmm yesss that's an all-star probowl season.. Asomugha has more all-pro seasons than Revis has.. Revis was an all-pro in 2010, give me a break the dude had an awful year that season, I'm glad he bounced back in 2011 because his previous year was ugly..and when I said Blitz scheme I wasn't signaling out one player.. I was talking about the 11 guys on the D.. just because they didn't reach the QB every down doesn't mean they didn't have a successful blitz.. shut down corners don't get 9 ints in a year.. QB's were rushed the majority of the plays, rushed plays mean turnovers.. Also Nnamdi played Free Safety in College, the Raiders converted him to CB and he excelled in that position. if Asomugha played for the Giants or Jets he would have been talked about every weeks like Revis.. NY is the most popular sports market and the media focus's the majority of their news on it. I mean shit Sanchez gets more coverage than most QBs in the league.. last year I was sick of watching ESPN because it was the Jets/Tebow/Sanchez show.. its NY man you should know this because we both live there! and you act like Nnamdi never covered the number one? do you know that Aso Asomugha allowed just 10 receptions on the 27 passes thrown his way. Most important, Asomugha did not give up a touchdown all year in 2010!!!! QB's wouldn't even think twice about throwing his way.. 55 times thrown his way in 2 season; 32 games played!! sorry but Revis has never had a stat like that in his career and never will

lol Revis has 3 All-Pro seasons Nnamdi has two while being in the league longer. Nnamdi while he faced the WR1 at times never faced him every single snap for all 16 games. Sorry but that's a fact. Also, his time with the Eagles shows how limited of a player he is. He completely dropped off the face of the earth. He can't play zone coverage, he can't cover the slot, he can't blitz off the edge. These are all severe limitations of his game. He was asked to lock down one side of the field in Oakland regardless of who the match up is. That's great and respectable. Also, you want to talk about pass attempts of the opposing team. That's fine and dandy until you face the WR1 every single snap. Eventually a team will start throwing the ball towards their #1 guy regardless who is lined up against him even Revis Island. Also, you have to look at the games in which Revis and Nnamdi played. The Raiders were very bad while he was there. They always played from behind, so if you were an NFL offense and you were sitting on a lead would you be passing or running more often? The Jets had such a woeful offense that the games were always tight. Therefore there were more reasons for the other team to throw more than the opponents against the Raiders. Sorry man Nnamdi was great but he was and never will be on Revis' level.
