Who was that? My recording had lost signal for a stretch so I missed some of the show.

First because I don't want another group I like split up and second because I would like to watch a season unbiased from already being a fan of somebody.
Apparently I didn't knock on wood while posting that. Finally caught up on a few episodes I had fallen behind on and the second I saw Jacqui I almost tossed the remote at the TV.

Only reason it didn't happen with season 1 (Meg & Dia) was because I didn't pay much attention to this since I was so sick of signing shows at that point and didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as I do now. Season 2 was Simms/Automatic Loveletter, season 3 was Pope/Hey Monday and now Sandell/My Arcadia.

Yeah I like that these singers of smaller groups I am a fan of are getting more exposure but it still sucks watching all these groups you have in your iTunes library getting picked apart every season. And it sucks not being able to form an unbiased opinion like I said before

Have not watched any of the battle rounds yet to know if she has battled yet and still around or not but not expecting her to do as well. Don't think My Arcadia have built up the fanbase Automatic Loveletter or Hey Monday had. Like Simms based on her audition it seems she is wanting to go with a different sound away from the Avril, Paramore and other comparisons like that sound which Pope seemed a bit scared to break away from and accidentally fell into the country songs working so well for her.

I don't know if it is that these singers are all from the same kind of pop rock groups and have all been on Warped Tour that when they see the success the others have had they want to get it on it to or if The Voice is simply scouting at Warped Tour. But so weird seeing this happen every season.

So going through my iTunes library who is left.....

Kristin Kearns/Darling Parade: They just released their first studio album which I didn't know about and need to buy right away since I was a big fan of their EP's. iTunes just added hasn't updated for me in weeks which is where I usually keep up on my releases and missed this. So should keep them safe for a bit

Sierra Kusterbeck/VersaEmerge: They are with Fueled By Ramen so in a pretty good position. Or at least what is left of them since as Wikipedia will show you they have gone through a lot of members to the point that they are down to two. And they are really changing up their sound with their new tracks into a more Kerli territory.

Marissa Dattoli/Crystalyne: Could easily see her being one of the next. Still in their infancy as a group and she came from YouTube videos which is another group we have seen try to make the jump to this show. So could easily be on her radar.

Jenny Mann/Blameshift: Still performing together but their last EP was 2011 so some of the warning signs are there with a lack of recording in recent years like Hey Monday and Automatic Loveletter had. Have been part of Warped Tour. Might as well just add her to one of the judges teams for the live performances this season

Carly Krantz/Solo/Kenotia/Shouting At Satellites: She has already been jumping all over the place. Her solo stuff was an awful turn from Kenotia but SAS was a step back in the right direction. But don't see them lasting either.

Taylor Leigh Rouse/Chasing Taylor: Seems to be taking the same sound change direction with the new EP as VersaEmerge but not under a label like Fueled By Ramen to be in as good a position making The Voice more appealing.

Ariel Bloomer/Icon For Hire: Last recordings were 2011 but it was a studio album so more common for bigger gaps in studio albums than EP's like with Blameshift and not as much of a sign it could happen. Although I don't think they are happy with Tooth & Nail at all since Tooth & Nail get labeled as a Christian label and they have spoken out saying they hate being considered a Christian group since it alienates them and isn't what they consider themselves. So could see them wanting to break free and whether that happens as a group or her looking at this as a bigger opportunity only time would tell.

Colleen D'Agostino/The Material: I don't see this one happening but you never know. Just based on the fact that they have self published their music it seems that she doesn't want to be tied down by a record label to want to pursue one through this. And when they have had their songs in some video games and stuff they are doing pretty damn good for a self published group. Another group with a new album in the last few weeks I need to buy and missed thanks to iTunes not updating the just added list for no apparent reason.

Greta Hotmer/The Moxy: Not as similar to the other groups but just one I can see happening since The Moxy have already split recently to pursue their own paths. As much as I love Jackass/Bam, as much as he has probably helped some groups like H.I.M. gain more fans and as much as he tried to get their name out there featuring them in Where The **** Is Santa? it just didn't work out. So The Voice could be a help for her.

Yvonne Marder/Renfue: Renfue are already dead and based on some of her tweets she isn't doing music anymore but not totally sure. Would be a good way to give it another go if she did decide she was done with music but wanted to give it another go now.

Vanessa Rose/One Star Story: Honestly thought they were done since they had been very inactive for years but they have a new EP coming out May 7th so obviously giving it another go together. But The Voice is always lurking in the shadows somewhere waiting to split groups up.

Carly Kane/Stellate: Not totally sure about their status but think they are done and not sure what she has been doing. Another one that has been on Warped Tour a couple of times so seems inevitable

Jenna McDougall/Tonight Alive: On Warped Tour this year....... DOOMED! But they are Aussies so maybe the Aussie version of The Voice is what will break them up Hell Benji wrote their newest single, sings on it a bit and is in the music video so his brother being a coach on The Voice might even know her.

Probably forgetting or missing some. There are some like We Are The In Crowd with dual female and male vocalists that could always split too. Would actually be nice see a duet like that although duets seems to scare the coaches. She Screams Remedy were another like that and are dead so Kyrsten Gammon maybe. Based on her Facebook she is working as cocktail waitress and models on the side so possible she doesn't have a passion for music or just gave up. Jenna McDougall could be another since she split from The Best Week Ever who were another with a male and female vocalist.

Anyway, I have gone on way longer than I needed to for the simple summary that.........

THE VOICE HAS WAGED WAR ON MY iTUNES LIBRARY AND I AM NOT AMUSED!!!!!!!

On a somewhat related note....Jane Smith from Belle Histoire auditioned, but didn't get any judge to turn around.

Not familiar with them but going to have to check them out since she was actually my favorite audition and I was raging when she didn't get a chair turn

Sandell is out so I don't have to be biased Song choice really hurt her since a better song for her might have had Usher steal her at least. But that style of country didn't work for her in the slightest. Is it also going to be a trend that Blake wants to turn these singers I like prior to the show country? Did work for Pope even though I am not a big country fan though. Actually seemed to work for her more than the pop rock.

I don't remember his name. It was the very first show. I can't even remember the names of some of the people who make the show so I sure won't remember the names of those who didn't make it... other than Julie Roberts, who I was shocked to see blind audition, but her singing was pretty poor.

Was a little bit disappointed that Blake seems to be on this country agenda (since last season showed what happens when you have five singers all in the exact same genre like Christina, and especially because Blake won the show twice with an R&B/rock singer and a pop/rock singer so he should know better), but in reality Sandell didn't stand a chance. Like the country cop on Adam's team or C. Perkins on Shakira's team.... and the C. Perkins save really has me scratching my head. Is he the first battle round winner reduced to a 10 second montage to actually make the knockout round this season?

But in all honestly, other than Amanda last season, the saves have never amounted to anything. If nothing else, the coaches are giving their original teammates an easy win for the knockout round.

Haven't the saves only been around 1 season so far?

And Amanda had a lot of success so I think if you can steal an Amanda you're in pretty good shape.

This is the first season I've watched this show. I actually love it. I love the interaction between the judges.

And man do I ADORE Rachel Bilson... I mean Caroline Glaser . Seriously. Her voice is so special and I love indie/folk music so I really dig the kind of artist she wants to be. I would for sure buy her CD.

I forget the name of the contestant, but he's blond and plays guitar. Anyways, I'm pretty sure he makes out with himself and the mirror before he comes out on stage. lol

Cee Lo and Christina are back for next season, Shakira and Usher will replace them again for the season after that, Blake and Adam continue to be in every season.

She has videos on YouTube. I've watched those since she isn't on the show anymore. Could listen to her crooning all day.

I'm not going to watch when Christina is back on. I don't like her. I love the judges they have now. Will watch when they return.

Yes, that's who I mean.

On another note, what's the point of dropping Usher and Shakira for one season, only to bring them back? Maybe it was a trial run?

It was always that way. Usher and Shakira will be back for the next round after CeeLo/Christina come back. They did this so the artists could focus on their own music/tour.

It looks like Blake Shelton will have the winning contestant this year again! Of the 6 remaining, Blake has 3 and the other judges, 1 each. Rooting for the 16 y.o. in Blake's team!

Pretty sure she will be the next big country artist, it may take her voice a year or two to fully mature, but could easily see her as another Carrie Underwood type of crossover performer.
